   I recently stayed at Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel and had a wonderful experience. I was absolutely delighted to find my suite beautifully decorated for Christmas—it made the stay feel so festive and special. ​The service was excellent throughout my visit. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and welcoming. I have to give a special mention to the team for their help with room service; nothing was too much trouble for them. I highly recommend staying here for a festive break!

   I would definitely stay here again if I needed to be in the area with work. Service was fantastic with very friendly and welcoming staff in both the hotel and the Jacobean Pub. Slight issue with heating in my room was sorted quickly. Bed was very comfortable, one of the best I've slept in when away from home. Room was well appointed and bathroom was spacious. Food in the pub restaurant was great and I can highly recommend the steak pie with proper shortcrust pastry. Plenty of parking. The only slight issue really is lugging everything up the stairs if, like me, you don't travel light! A great stay.

   Really nice hotel, a bit quirky. Only negative I would state is the lack of power sockets or USB points near the bed, I found the bed/ pillow a little uncomfortable but that's entirely my personal choice. The mattress was memory foam. Some of the floors are quite uneven but this is a 400 year old building. Some of the rooms looked to have very low doors something to remember if like me you're tall. The staff were outstanding and very helpful and friendly, everything in the room worked. Plentiful parking. The pub that the hotel is attached to is very nice. The food was outstanding value for money, not cheap but very high quality for the price. I would definitely stay again but would bring my own pillow and an extension lead.

   Attended for a sportsmans lunch with Dominic Matteo as the speaker.I got to a few of these however, The venue is really classy. I can see why people have weddings there. The staff are friendly, the food was superb. A great day and well executed. I would like to highlight the personal attention the owner gave me over a issue I had ( not venue related regarding an auction prize) He made sure my query was answered and took time out to help me and was all you would hope and more as a venue owner. Thanks v much Richard On a side note if you get chance please see dom speak a truly great guy..

   I was recommended to book this hotel by a colleague, if I was ever in the area and it didn’t disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised that when I booked in at the reception, that I had been given a complementary upgrade. The suite was very spacious and exceptionally clean. The decor was modern and definitely added to the ambiance. All the staff were warm and friendly and I will also be recommending this hotel to all.

   Grade one listed hotel. Mainly for weddings and functions. Service excellent, food generous and tasty. Room pleasant with nice views but the odd minor repair would improve it. Would gladly go again.

   Beautiful hotel rooms with a very comfortable double bed, nice clean toilet and shower, storage space for luggage and a mini kettle and tea/coffee for the morning after. Bed and breakfast is a recommended option as the breakfast was fantastic. A nice selection of hot breakfast items, cereals, pastries, fresh fruit and yogurt, and hot and cold drinks. Perfect start to the day!

   Located in a tranquil countryside village outside Pontefract, if you want a quiet night away, try this hotel. Although they host weddings, I was fortunate not to have one during my stay. The staff are friendly and helpful.
