   Quite sad that under new management that they opened this place. In my room a badly cracked sink, carpets just dirty with age, a chair that is about 10 yrs old where the plastic is so worm it's rubbed off. Old covid sticker or something not even taken off the mirror in bathroom. Obviously new owners on a tight budget .. Reception smells musty, not the best first impression. Signage outside hotel poor. 2 A3's laminated on the glass doors coming in. New owners couldn't afford a new sign. From outside it looked closed. You will never retain a business and have anyone return here for a second time. Whoever bought this place doesn't understand the hotel business. So sad really. Big thing for me no fire evacuation procedures in the room. I thought this was mandatory. Wouldn't recommend this hotel. 1 star would be pushing it. My first impressions upon arrival didn't tempt me to consider staying for breakfast. Sorry. New management check out the competition if you want to get your occupancy rate up.

   Rooms are clean but very tired. Staff are friendly but not able to help with much. Wi-Fi is dismal. It stopped working some nights, and others was as slow as 1Mbps. When I inquired with the person on the desk the reason given was “we have many rooms booked”. Not good enough. Continental breakfast is good (coffee from the machine not so much, just have tea). Good location, easy walk into town

   I requested in advance an early check in to facilitate an online meeting and the hotel were great in facilitating this. Room decor is in need of a little tlc but staff were friendly and free breakfast good. Was very quiet. Clearly a work in progress to build a business but great location only 10 mins walk into Wetherby for great choice of restaurants etc

   We stayed here for one night and it is perfectly located with free parking outside of Wetherby. It looked tired and empty on the outside but inside we were greeted by very pleasant and helpful staff. The room was a decent size with a very comfy bed! Continental breakfast had plenty of choices and a clean and pleasant atmosphere. Very nice hotel and would stay again. Staff are fantastic too.

   Hotel has just reopened a few weeks ago under new management. The hotel itself is rather tired and ready for some TLC. Smelt a bit funky in reception but the room itself was clean and presentable. Continental breakfast only and not much choice but pleasant enough. On the plus side the location is great and the staff were very helpful.

   Stayed here over Christmas and we loved it- the hotel had a really nice feel to it and had everything we needed. Breakfast was very nice and lots of choice. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Thank you for making Christmas feel that much more special

   The hotel has 2 good points - friendly staff and a comfy bed. I was disappointed that, on arrival, my room had no tea bags, no tv remote, and the phone didn’t work. My room was very tired - particularly the bathroom, which had badly stained grout and walls. Breakfast was a shambles on my last day. It was supposed to start at 7am, but by 7.20am much of the breakfast was not ready for diners, the waitress was moving pastries onto the trays with bare hands, and someone was being shouted at in the kitchen! This hotel really lets down the Mercure brand - I’ve never had a negative experience in a Mercure hotel before.

   This hotel is perfectly pleasant. I stayed here for 6 nights in October whilst working locally. I have no idea what price was paid as it was booked by the company, but the quality of the rooms was reasonably high and the cleaning was thorough. I had a studio room which was spacious and had a japanese-style shower (side jets etc). The breakfast is wholesome and the items are good quality, although there is a daily lottery on getting a fried egg. The bar has an unusual selection of beer but should serve something you like. The food selection is limited and all fairly stodgy so if staying for more than one night you'll want to factor in making the short walk into Wetherby for some proper food. Fortunately Wetherby is well-equipped for high quality food. The car park is large and the surrounding area is quiet. I slept well every night. As a business hotel I would rate this as above average - similar in quality to a good Premier Inn.

   Breakfast was great as was the location and staff. Beds were clean and comfy but the room needed some serious tlc (broken lamp). The iron and board were fine. Really low pressure for the shower. The bathroom was not very clean - out of shower gel and tissues.
