Upon arrival there was a slight mix up but this was resolved very quickly, I wasn’t totally happy with the room I was offered so Christine ensured that we got a more suitable room for me and my family. To say it was Christmas Eve she was fantastic and is a huge credit to the hotel. Thank you to Joshua as well for ensuring that we had a spare bed for my child despite it not being on the booking at check in, all of the staff were great very friendly and positive they made our Christmas.

The wife and I, along with another couple, visited The Bridge Hotel for their Scrooge – A Christmas Carol dining event and had a fantastic evening. We were seated in the restaurant and offered a choice of starters — I went for the garlic mushrooms, which were excellent. The main course was a carvery; I had perfectly cooked roast beef, while my wife enjoyed both roast beef and turkey. The meal came with roast and mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. My only minor comment would be that the veg was slightly overcooked for my preference, but overall the food was very nice. All staff were friendly and attentive. For dessert there was a choice again — I opted for cheese and biscuits — followed by coffee and mince pies to finish. Between courses we were treated to a performance of Scrooge – A Christmas Carol. The actors were entertaining, humorous in parts, and genuinely first class. It really added something special to the evening. At £45 per head, I’d say the event offered good value for money, and drinks were served throughout at very reasonable prices. We thoroughly enjoyed the night and would happily recommend it.

All in all we had a very pleasant weekend. We stayed from 29th Nov to 1st Dec. The lady who booked us in on Saturday afternoon was welcoming and informed us of times (and booked us in) for dinner in the beautiful glass walled dining room. The Sunday evening meal was much better than the Saturday (Turkey so dry I was served a spoonful of bits). On Sunday all was cooked well. Also I must mention the lady who waited on our table Becky. She was efficient and pleasant.

Staff were brilliant, very attentive and friendly. The afternoon tea was gorgeous and very nice. Enjoyed the Spa, only reason it's not a 5 is because there was a brown scum line around the inside of the hot tub (might have been from a previous user with fake tan but was a bit grim!)

I booked a spa break deal for my husband and me, which included use of the spa, a 25-minute treatment, bed, breakfast, and an evening meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The spa area was small but nice. The hotel itself felt quite run down, which was disappointing. Our room was basic but clean, and while it had a coffee machine, there were no coffee pods or tea bags provided. The biggest letdown was definitely the food. The evening meal was very poor. It was a carvery with two meat options, what looked like frozen mixed vegetables, boiled and roast potatoes, watery gravy, and a stale Yorkshire pudding. I left the meal still feeling hungry. The breakfast buffet was okay, but most of it was lukewarm or cold. Overall, the spa and staff were lovely, but the quality of the food and general upkeep of the hotel let it down.

Pre-arrival seemed a bit chaotic. We couldn't get the spa times we wanted and were called the week before our break to suggest we changed our spa time and had pizza in the spa on Friday evening. This made us apprehensive about our stay. However we have really enjoyed our break. The spa experience, staff and treatments were all wonderful. The breakfast and cream tea were lovely. The carvery was good but just needs a proper vegetarian/vegan option as one of our party had a baked pepper stuffed with cold mashed potato on the Friday evening which was unpalatable. Overall our stay was lovely. The rooms were comfortable, well-equipped and quiet even though there were several functions in the hotel. Overall a great experience after the initial worry.

Had a beautiful evening at the spa and hotel, the treatment went smoothly and was relaxing. Thoroughly professional staff, and friendly at every turn, made to feel welcome and relaxed. They are happy to go the extra mile, one member of staff loaned his personal playing cards to guests, while the barmaid researched how to make liqueur coffees, and excelled at her first attempt. The food and ambiance in the restaurant was good, the bar had a relaxing old world feel. The room was a good size, with a large very comfortable bed, and all the amenities you could want. The finish to the bathroom needed a little attention, but this in no way detracted from our wonderful experience, and we look forward to returning.

I booked a spa day experience for my boyfriend’s birthday and we were not disappointed. The spa was lovely, quite small but we enjoyed the intimate feel of it. We both had treatments which were lovely and the mud rasul was a nice little bonus when we got there. There were plenty of facilities to choose from so there was always something for us to do. We also had an afternoon tea as part of our package which was delicious. I had called up in advance to make sure they could do a gluten free afternoon tea and they provided lots of tasty gluten free options. Thank you for a fantastic day, would definitely visit again!

Fantastic! My friend and I came here for a spa and overnight stay, and it was exactly what we were looking for. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout, from the spa, to the hotel reception, to the restaurant. The spa has lots of great facilities facilities we both absolutely loved our treatments. The hot tubs were lovely to relax in too. Dinner was a carvers which was absolutely delicious. The bar area is great to unwind in too. The room was perfect and the bed super comfy! We didn't want to leave and wish we could have stayed for longer. Would definitely recommend the overnight indulgence package for anyone looking to unwind and relax.
