It used to be a decent place but last few times I feel the service has declined. Not happy with this place anymore. I won’t be going here again unless there are some serious changes.
I had an incredible experience at Aaina Medspa! The staff were welcoming, professional, and very attentive to detail. The ambiance was clean, calming, and beautifully set up. My manicure, pedicure, and facial were done perfectly, leaving me feeling refreshed and pampered. I’m beyond happy with the results and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend this salon for anyone looking for excellent beauty services!
Unfortunately, since the original owner, Sona, sold the business, the quality of service has dropped significantly. The warmth and welcoming atmosphere are gone, and the dedication to outstanding customer service and going the extra mile for satisfaction has considerably diminished. Additionally, the salon appears unkempt, and the cleanliness is questionable.
Came here earlier today and was so frustrated I told myself I would review on Google to warn others. I’ve lived in Buckhurst Hill for just over 25 years but have only ever visited a local beautician once. I vowed to never go anywhere local ever again after visiting this place in Loughton so have always gone to places in central London after work. Came here today, however, as I was desperate to have my eyebrows threaded and I was rather unceremoniously turned away. There were TWO women who could have done my eyebrows but I was told they have set times for eyebrows and they could not do mine. I have never been turned away from anywhere, even when I’ve walked in 5-10 minutes before closing as eyebrow threading only takes 2 minutes. Terrible service and I definitely won’t be returning. They have a rather gauche air and would like to think they’re on a par with high end beauticians but they’re really not. I still cannot fathom I was actually turned away when I have never been turned away for basic eyebrow threading, I have never been anywhere where they have told me they “only do threading between 9am-10am, 3pm-4pm and 5pm-5:30pm”. The door was wide open, close it if you are not open for business. I can see they’re very good at responding to negative reviews and attempting to discredit them. This is unsavoury behaviour for a place of business; people are entitled to review their subjective experience without being gaslighted by the establishment they are reviewing.
I recently visited this salon in Chigwell and while there were some positives, there are areas that need improvement. The girls working there are absolutely lovely and do their best to provide good service. However, the salon itself looks a bit grubby and could benefit from a deep clean. There is visible dust and dirt behind the pedicure chairs, and overall cleanliness could be better. The services are okay but have room for enhancement. Improving the quality of nail polishes and expanding the color selection for normal polish would make a big difference. Adding some music would also help create a more inviting ambiance. Given the location in Chigwell, I expected a bit more, but with some attention to these details, the salon has great potential. I hope the management considers these suggestions to make it an even better place.
Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had in a beauty salon. Went in for a supposed patch test for lashes. Which is normally done on the skin. The technician insisted on doing it on my lashes, which wasn’t a problem. Except she was disgracefully rude. She attempted to do it with my eyes open and nothing under the lid then was surprised when the glue fumes were burning my eye causing it to blink. She was abruptly mumbling something to me as she was doing it. Which I didn’t understand. I asked why there wasn’t anything under my eye to help with the fumes, again she mumbled something then disappeared. In the interim, I told the receptionist, she was rude and made me feel uncomfortable then proceeded to ask for my money back. No way was she doing my lashes. Her hands were extremely dirty too, which made me feel more uncomfortable. DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR LASHES! i have been having my lashes done for years and have never had such a horrible, inexperienced person do my lashes. Thank god i was called in for a patch test! Avoid!
The staff at Arissa are always friendly and helpful. I have had other treatments here in the past and have always been happy with the results. I had my first pedicure there today as well as a manicure and eyebrow tint and felt very pampered. I definitely looked a lot better after my treatments. Great place, great service, great staff!!
Amazing service, friendly staff and lovely clean salon! I have been coming to Arissa Chigwell for some time now and wouldn’t go anywhere else for my eyebrows and nails. The girls Always do my brows exactly how i ask them and my nails always last so long! Best salon!
I am a regular at Arissa Chigwell and have never been disappointed... the staff are really lovely and very professional. The salon is clean and always see therapists cleaning after serving their clients. My young daughter is now a regular too and feels safe and cared for when having her treatment. Highly recommend.
