Today i visit the sugilite I had a wonderful experience at the salon .My hairstylist listened carefully to what I wanted and delivered a beautiful result. The waxing service was also quick clean and comfortable The staff was friendly professional and made me feel relaxed throughout my visit. Highly recommended
Extremely Unprofessional & Unsafe Experience - Monday 17th November 2026 I called Sugilite Salon to ask if they had availability for a simple haircut. When I arrived, I was greeted with such an uncomfortable attitude, as if they were doing me a favour by cutting my hair. The hairstylist was unfriendly, stuck-up, and made no effort to be polite. I tried making small talk, even mentioned that it was my wedding soon, and she acted completely uninterested. Both my friend and I felt like we had interrupted their lunch break or chat time. Throughout the haircut, she made negative comments about my hair without offering any advice, solutions, or product recommendations. She even asked what shampoo I use, then muttered under her breath and said my hair texture was awful. Paying for a haircut is a luxury, and the experience should at least feel comfortable – this was the opposite. Now for the worst part: my friend came in for a patch test before booking a hair colour. The patch test they applied was unbelievably large – it covered the back of her ear and extended down towards her neck. Whatever chemicals they use are clearly extremely harsh, because she ended up suffering a third-degree burn. She has never experienced anything like this in her life, and she has coloured her hair many times at other salons with no issues. Her skin has peeled off and she now has a permanent burn mark because of their negligence. A patch test is supposed to be small, not a huge chunk of skin covered carelessly. This place has gone completely downhill. Four years ago, when the old hairdresser was still here, the atmosphere was warm and professional. I don’t know what has happened since then, but Sugilite Salon is no longer a place I would trust or recommend to anyone. Please avoid this salon if you want a professional, friendly, and safe experience!
I got waxing done with Deepika and I’m extremely satisfied with the service. She is very professional, gentle and makes sure you are comfortable throughout the whole process. She knew exactly what she was doing and the results were perfect with no missed areas. Hardly any redness afterwards too! Highly recommend Deepika if you want quality waxing. I will definitely be returning. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very disappointed with my experience. I booked a hair botox appointment which was confirmed, but when I arrived at the salon, the staff rudely told me they “don’t do botox for men.” Nowhere during the booking process was this restriction mentioned, and if you don’t provide services to men, you simply shouldn’t confirm the appointment. I wasted my time and effort, only to be treated poorly. This feels like nothing but a money grab. Be transparent and respectful — that’s the least any customer deserves.
*EDIT* If you read their ridiculous response you will see the third excuse I was given. Who knows which is true. An apology is not an apology if you follow it with 'but'. Seems like the owner is just as bad as the staff. Awful place. ********* I had booked and paid a deposit for a wash, cut and blow dry for myself and a cut for my 3yr old. They didn't open the shop on time (30min late) and there was no effort to contact me or even apologise. After waiting for so long in the cold, I went back my car with my kids to wait. As they were opening opening I asked why they were late and she said it was because the lock wouldn't open in the cold - A LIE. I asked my hair stylist who said that they had to wait as they didn't have a key. This same liar then proceeded to say ridiculous things like my kids were so skinny. Still no apology. Hygiene is shambolic in this place. There was hair absolutely everywhere - on the trolleys, chairs, walls/skirting boards. And the dust! One of the other therapists did a terrible job of sweeping as there was still hair everywhere. Instead of cleaning, they sat there doing each others eyebrows. I don't know who the owner is but these staff need their attitudes fixing because they will run this business into the ground. 3 stars only for the Iranian hair stylist who did a good job on our hair. If she didn't do a decent job I'd have given 0 stars.
I’ve been coming for my laser for 7 months now and omg wow! I am extremely Hairy and always suffered when waxing! However, the lovely therapist Anita said to try laser and kindly done a patch test in one spot and I was shocked to see in just 2 patch tests I had already seen hair not growing in that area. It’s the best investment ever! No more painful waxing or long hours of shaving! My hair has reduced atleast by 70-80%! I’m extremely happy with the results and professionalism of the staff. Thank you! I also get my eyebrows and hair done every so often and I must say it’s always been amazing each time! I travel all the way from Crawley just to get pampered here.
I would advise anyone who is thinking about going to this salon for individual lashes to please rethink! I attended this salon on 7th October and was advised that the beauty therapist was only able to do classic lashes which I agreed was fine after about 1 hour and a half the beauty therapist had "finished" I looked at my lashes that looked like they had about 4 lashes per section. I asked if she could add some more as it looked like my own lashes, she agreed and again said she was"finished" I looked at my terrible lashes and said I wasn't happy but they said anymore and it wouldn't be classics, I'm not a beauty therapist, but i know this is untrue. I was charged £65 for this waste of time. When I got home I noticed there had even been lashes stuck to the bottom of my lashes. By 9th October all lashes had fallen off, I tried to call the salon multiple times that week to speak to manager and no luck. 14th October I went into the salon to speak to the manager I was advised I would get a call back but if not to come back into the salon. I heard nothing. I called on the 21st October to try and speak to the manager to get a refund, who gave me her personal number and was told to send over my bank details and she would refund me. Sunday 23rd October the manager apologised and said I would receive a refund the next day. Have tried to contact since and no response we are now in November and no refund.
Was accidentally doubled booked yesterday and was offered a free hair wash, deep conditioning treatment and blow dry whilst I waited. Katie was very delicate and gave a really good head message during my wash and I felt very relaxed. Ruby carried out my facial and her attention to detail is immaculate. She made me feel at ease and made sure my experience was relaxing. Will definitely be coming back again soon! Thank you Katie & Ruby x
