   Host harassed me in the morning, no respect tried to open door without knocking, insisted that I still speak to her despite telling her that was just out of shower, wanted to give me our deposit back, only to return, banging door, invading privacy, refused to give deposit back to me, partner had left for work but she wanted him to return to collect. Host was rude and. nasty, insinuating that she did not trust me and wasn't sure if she could give me the money. Insulted and embarrassed, I advised that I would let him know. considering I paid for the booking, all details are mine, left her a note on booking advising that my partner would be arriving early, his details and confirmed that I would be late from meetings and would be meet him there. Upon his arrival he told the host that he had to leave early for a meeting and I would be leaving for my meeting later in the morning. Host was contacted after her unacceptable behaviour and advised that we were together and to give the deposit back as we live an hour away, she was rude to him and only after pressing the issue, she agreed. Got harassed a third time, didn't allow me to finish getting packed, no remorse on her behaviour, pretty much acted like I had leprosy or was it the colour of my skin! Horrified that in this day and age, such people exist. Will be complaining to booking. com. This should not be allowed. Worst experience ever.

   I seldomly write reviews ... however I do always appreciate the people that do. From this  I have had some lovely overnight stays when  up north when visiting family members. This weekend we chose to stay here as an alternate to our usual accomodation nearby. What a bad mistake. PLEASE BEWARE. Don't be fooled like us about some of the glowing reviews on here. They must be fake .Further the pictures accompanying this accomodation are very much out of date and are very misleading and are not reflective of what you will find. This experience was horrendous and I dont know how the owner has been allowed to get away  with offering such poor levels of service or indeed pass any healh and safety regulations for guest use. Finding the entrance to the accomodation is a feat in itself. The bushes and overgrowth is unsightly and very unnerving when arriving at night with no indication that this is the accomodation entrance. Pictures shown on the website  are not comparable. We were allocated room 2. On check in no one there to greet us. It was all done by text which we had to chase for on arrival. Room was left ajar with no key ! No key was issued which meant there was no security. When going out for evening we had to take belongings out of the room and put back in car as our door could not be locked. Further after ringing host countless times on the one  mobile number given  from website , texting and emailing from 6pm through the evening for help the phone just constantly  rang and rang. Unbelievably no contact could be made at all. Further this was a cold weekend up north. No heating at all in accomodation was available. Radiators were turned off. The room smelt damp and the window frame was rotten and noise was substantial from street Coffee and biscuit offerings were out of date by 2 years ! Towels were so hard they were unuable. The bathroom is not a bathroom. It is a kiosk. The toilet is on an angle and the saucer of a sink is so tiny it is impractical and unhygenic to use as you have to lean over toilet to use. The shower sealent was severly  broken as was the sharp plastic plug hole which if trodden on would have caused a severe accident thus  preventing us from using the shower Please do not stay here ...i would advise you strongly to take note and book elsewhere. This was not an experience we would want others to suffer. Upon check out the host although i have rang repeatedly since has still not answered or returned any calls. AVOID AVOID AVOID for your safety and security.

   It was a quiet stay. I decided to just go away from my house for two days to rest. The bed was comfortable but they had no internet and my network wasn't working on my phone properly. It was a clean and decent place.

   Found this lady very rude! Bad business structure was due to stay over Xmas and June x 3 rooms but her rude unprofesional manner made me change my booking elsewhere! No communication or customer service here! Would not recommend it as there is a proper hotel up the road for same lprice #Cedearcourthotel!!
