I have been with Clifton surgery for years and have never had any problems at all . The reception staff are lovely ,the GP,s and nurses great . I work at a different surgery in Rotherham not connected to Clifton and totally understand some of the frustration and anger the patients encounter , the waiting times for calls, the lack of appointments to offer and having to use the online services. Unfortunately this is the NHS. and surgeries have little choice when things change. We can't go back to the old ways queuing up in the morning , demanding an appointment with a particular gp.for a sniffle. It upsets alot of patients but im sure Clifton surgery is doing its best to help everyone at a difficult time. It is not the receptionists fault if there are no appointments left or they ask you what the appointment is for, it is to make sure you see the right clinician. Due to some people wanting an appointment a minor cough, cold, sore throat that they only had a couple of days, or hay fever or back pain that a pharmacist or physio can deal with is one of the reasons there are no appointments left for you or your family the genuine unwell patient. In addition to this the people who book appointments and do not attend anyway! again they are wasting an appointment that could be yours. This is across the whole of the Nhs GPS and hospitals . Clifton medial centre are trying their best to help everyone.please have a little more understanding, they are doing the best to help you ! Keep up the good work Clifton .

If I could give no stars I would. Now you are not allowed to ring. You fill in an online form and, if you are very ill, they tell you to go to A&E and if you are slightly less ill they tell you to use the chemist. Doctors do NOT want to see people any more! It's an absolute joke!

In all of my many years dealing with this practice I have had nothing but appalling care. My last experience being by far the worst with numerous failings across the board. Doctors and the practice manager fail to follow through on complaints and on call backs as promised. They constantly contradict medical advice given by NHS online and 111. When I discussed side effects of anti-depressants I was completely belittled by a male doctor he added "if you feel brave enough come off the medication". This was against NHS online advice, of not coming off said medication completely straight away. I was and still am left in agony after circa 20 weeks. I had to arrange for funds through the form of a bank loan so I could afford private treatment as it is clear that NHS help will not be an option. After chasing a referral for 2 weeks I have been told the referral was not done. When I questioned the doctor who told me they were raising the referral She blatantly lied to me and told me they had done this. After speaking with the reception staff this was confirmed a LIE! The abhorrent treatment of patients seems to be standard practice here. Seriously DO NOT come to this practice expecting you cornerns or illness to be taken with any degree of respect. You will also find it incredibly difficult to get in to see a doctor as these guys prefer to fob you off to suffer on your own with generic, irrelevant advice. The one saving grace for these is an incredible lady on reception who I will not name (so the practice doesn't have an excuse to remove this review). She was the only one who made me feel like there is someone left in the NHS who cares. The other reception staff have the same "not my problem" attitude. This is no surprise with the practice manager and Partners clearly cascading their vile attitudes to all possible.
