I wish there was a zero star option here as well. I got my hair highlights done just in the first week of October. First thing: I did my highlights for my own wedding. The color is not even. And my hair are burned with the over use and over timing of the chemical in hair! This has never happened. I noticed this when i getting a blowdry. I asked but my question was fully ignored. My hair were breaking and even now i can see the burnt hair all over my head! Secondly: I booked my highlights and cut with one stylist. She did my highlights and left the cut for another stylist.. reason was that she is short of time. This is not my problem! Every customer should be dealt with the same respect. I am badly disappointed. This disaster had made me upset. Each day when I see my hair, they are awful.

Two months later and I’m still shocked at the service I had here. Granted I was a regular and used to get my hair cut by Bethany and Jess, would rate them 5/5 they are spectacular. This specific situation left me bawling my eyes out and still waiting for my hair to grow out. I went to the Salam and booked my mother who wanted to be seen by a senior stylist as she had previously had a terrible cut. I decided as my hair is a bob all I needed was a straight cut I went with anybody, really not a complicated cut. When I went in was treated well by the usually team and went to get my hair washed by a new girl, she was fabulous, great conversation and she was doing a thorough job. The hairstylist kept coming in and trying to rush her, he was new I hadn’t seen him before. But this naturally made me uncomfortable. When we sat down I told him I wanted a straight cut no layers as my hair is curly and quite frizzy so it’s best to just do the bob. He kept pushing me to have layers and I kept saying if any just one for the volume. Well he completely did his own thing and kept cutting, cutting and cutting. He was so aggressive with brushing my hair and blow drying it. He kept catching my ear with force and my scalp was so sore at how he was pulling it when drying. He blow dried it and tears welled up. In the end I was left with 4 different layers and an absolute mess! I haven’t been able even to leave my hair completely down. It’s been half up half down for 2 months. Sooo disappointed Soo

Absolutely Shocking Experience – £200 Wasted on a “Me Day” Disaster I booked a Sunday Me Day Makeover at this salon, spending over £200 with high hopes of treating myself before a holiday. What I walked away with was an utter disaster that turned my relaxing day into a stressful mess. The colour? Shocking. Within two days, it looked like I hadn’t been to a salon in two months—the roots were that visible. The cut and blow dry? Completely undone the moment I got home, thinking maybe it was just the styling. It wasn’t. The whole look was flat, poorly blended, and nowhere near the quality I expected for that price. When I reached out for a solution, I was met with shrug-level indifference. They wouldn't help me move to a branch closer to home because it's a franchise, and by the time they tried to rebook me, nothing was available before my trip. I had to squeeze a fix into my work week, just to be told by another salon manager that it was a clear technical error. Their “solution”? A refund—but only half. Apparently, I was still being charged for the cut, blow dry, and treatment. Mind you, all three were rendered useless: I had to get my hair redone elsewhere, and the treatment was washed out within hours. What’s worse, the consultant I messaged was disinterested, dismissive, and put in minimal effort to resolve the situation. This entire experience has been not only a waste of money, but also of time and energy. I’m beyond disappointed. For the price I paid, I expected professionalism, care, and quality—not a botched job and the burden of fixing it myself. Avoid. Seriously.

A friend recomended this salon and I booked a haircut with Bethany. Upon my visit, I find the staff helpful and Bethany super professional. She went out of her way in every sense. She also did a great job in hair cut and blow dry. I could not be more happy with her character, work, and ethics. What is more as I was leaving, I noticed that i did not have cash and only a card with limited credit (I am visiting from US) which meant small tip. She was so cool about it, did not even question. I am extremely impressed with her.
