   I had a keratin treatment and tracks added for extra volume at Helena Macris Salon in East Croydon, and I’m genuinely impressed. I even called on the morning of my appointment to switch to an earlier time, and they were so accommodating. The team were really nice, explained every step, answered all my questions, and were gentle with my head (I’ve had natural hair all my life, so that mattered!). My hair looks smooth, healthy, and still very natural. Great service, lovely people, and beautiful results — highly recommend.

   Excellent service as always. Helena is an honest and trustworthy hairdresser who offers genuine, thoughtful advice. She doesn’t just follow instructions blindly — if a treatment could damage your hair or a style might not suit you, she’ll let you know and suggest what’s best instead.

   Helena and the team are amazing. I have now been going to the salon for 3.5 years - I get a treatment and silk press which lasts me such a long time. The customer service is fantastic and I have also recommended the salon to my friends and family. The prices are so reasonable and you will be so happy with your results. 10/10 everytime. Thank you Helena, Angela and the team for great service everytime.

   I have been to many hair salons far and wide and have never been as happy and satisfied with any of them like I am with Helena Marcis salon. As soon as I entered the salon I was greeted by Helena herself and taken care of straight away. I was made to feel at home by Helena and all her staff. My questions were answered with wisdom and I feel Helena and her staff were very patient and no matter how busy they may have been , they still gave me their full attention. I am extremely happy with my wash, colour and style which has lasted extremely long and I have received compliments after visiting the salon. I will be a regular customer now and value the level of professionalism. I would definitely recommend this salon.

   Only reason I’m giving 4 stars not 5 is because it was very busy the day I came and I did end up leaving at around 3 pm (appointment time was 11AM so close to 4 hrs in the salon) so did take longer than expected. However I did come on a Saturday afternoon - so did expect it to be busy which it was and only booked my appointment the day before so didn’t mind, and in spite of it taking a while I could tell the owner was doing her best to manage the number of people in the salon and move things along. Overall still had great customer service especially from the owner herself, the lady with the Irish accent and the owners daughter. I’ll definitely be coming here regularly. Even in this weather silk press has lasted a while. Prices are extremely reasonable, my scalp treatment included a silk press, and then I got a trim aswell, all was £70 and great quality work. My first time getting a silk press and trim and was overall a great experience, would just prefer come on a weekday next time.

   I usually go to Helena for my standard relaxer retouch, treatment, colour and trim. She and her assistant show courtesy, efficiency and style. I'm always pleased with her results on my hair and leave feeling transformed. She deals with a lot of clients all wanting different styles and it's a pleasure to see her work in action. The salon is kept clean and tidy as well. Overall, I would very much recommend her service.

   Really great service, I go there to get my keratin treatment done on my 4c hair. The service can add up but you leave feeling and looking beautiful!! Well worth the travel to Croydon

   I’ve walked past and know a few people that come here however my experience was not nice at all. Hairdresser was late with no apology and the customer service is really poor. Hoping it was just a bad day as the reviews also seem very positive.

   I have used Helen twice now and referred a friend of mine who has used her twice also. No issues with timing, how my hair was handled and customer service. Helen focuses on the job at hand which I really like. I am always in and out within an hour from start to finish and my hair looks the best it has for a long time! I normally get a wash, blow dry and silk press! Thank you to Helen and Aunty Lisa who treated my hair with so much care and patience. My hair normally tangles so easily and Aunty Lisa did a fantastic job!
