This was my second time at the Croydon Headmasters hair salon. I have got fine straight hair and needed a haircut badly. Very happy with my haircut and hairdresser. I have already booked my 3rd appointment in advance. Have chosen the same lovely hairdresser who was very attentive and professional on both occasions.

I would never recommend going to Headmasters again. I came in with long hair and clearly explained the style I wanted, but Alexandra completely ignored this and cut it into a short graduated bob — something I never asked for. The result is uneven, badly layered, and disconnected, nothing like the professional finish you’d expect from a salon charging premium prices. She clearly wasn't trained. On the day i was offered a corrective cut for 5 weeks time by Ian. When I returned to discuss the issue, the manager’s attitude was dismissive from the moment I sat down. She told me she didn’t have long as she was with another client and showed little concern about how bad the haircut actually was. Rather than acknowledging the mistake, she seemed more interested in trying her best to get rid of me and not deal with the issue. When I explained that Head Office had already approved a complimentary corrective cut, she looked confused, checked the system, and claimed there was no record of it. I had to show her the confirmation email before she finally accepted it. The fact that she acted as though her colleague never even offered the original complimentary cut is disappointing enough — but given how poor the haircut was, she should have been embarrassed and proactive in offering to fix it herself. Overall, the experience was unprofessional from start to finish and no apology offered from the salon. The quality of the haircut and the customer service were both well below standard. I would never go back, and I strongly advise others to avoid this salon — especially Alexandra.

I have been a customer for many years and always happy with the service. Until Tuesday with Alexis. The colour was uneven and dark instead of light! As for the cut!! It has been hacked! It was totally uneven with long bits cut so quickly! As I had my hair scrunched dried I didn't notice how bad until the next day! I rang the salon Alexis didn't talk to me but I was told by whoever answered the phone to come in later that day with wet hair as I was to wash it at home first! And they would see what they could do!! Absolutely awful advice and service! I have not heard from the salon I complained to head office who were equally unhelpful! I won't be going back again! Usually Giovanni does my hair and she recommended Alexis! Never again. Feel very let down and treated badly!!

I had a walk in appointment at Headmasters and was looked after by Alexandra. She gave me a really thorough consultation, asking exactly what I wanted and explaining step by step what she was going to do. Without me even asking, she prepared a relaxing hair wash with a massage chair and footrest. I absolutely loved it! She completely turned my day around. Alexandra also told me about upcoming sales which was really helpful. I left feeling refreshed and happy with my hair wash, cut, and blow dry. Excellent service at a very affordable price.

I’ve been to Siobhan 3:4 now in the past several months for blonding/highlights/lowlights, cuts and blow dries. This is the only hairdressers I’ve been to more than once. My stylist listens, I feel comfortable telling her if something isn’t right for me, I look forward to going and chatting with her for a few hours and above all- she does a great job. I was 100% happy when I last left, Siobhan has done an amazing job with my hair, has worked to give me the colour I want and has given great advice for any questions or advice I may need. Headmasters are lucky to have her

The staff were not particularly welcoming when we arrived due to a booking error on their system, they seemed unhappy to greet my party as we arrived and voiced their frustrations to the double booking in front of us at the main desk to one another. The products used for the wash were good and the blow dry and style was fine (sadly the style lasted only an hour) but the general experience was quite poor. We were not offered a drink and there was no sign of a smile or any conversation from any of the staff. One member of the team tried his best to make up for this at the end of the services but the whole experience could have been so much better.

I came in for a Cut & Blow Dry and I couldn’t be happier! I normally feel very anxious in hair salons, but my stylist Olivia was so lovely and made me feel very comfortable. All of the staff were really kind & friendly, and my hair looks great, what more could you ask for?

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Under-qualified staff and terrible customer service unfortunately, I booked an appointment for a full head balayage, cut and root color with a senior stylist, but ended up with a trainee, who absolutely ruined my hair. bright mahogany roots and dark brown at the mid length, because i already had tint on my hair, so only the virgin roots ended being lifted and not the rest - which i had already flagged to the stylist. had she been qualified, this would've happened. same thing with the cut, very uneven and not blended at all. messed up the toner on where the balayage had been applied and it all ended up orange. I spent over 6 weeks trying to get it corrected, but my appointments kept being cancelled with no explanation less than an hour before when I had already left work early to attend or the stylist gone on holiday or that the stylist no longer works there.

Not for boys! £26 for the worst haircut my son has ever had, including a cut on his forehead. Went to have my 11 year old's hair cut with his cousin. The stylist first only cut the sides and back. He was going to finish, until I had to ask for him to also cut the top and front. We were informed they couldn't include any kind of patterning, and that we would have to go to a barbers for that. To top it all off my son finished with a cut on his forehead as well. They should be ashamed of charging £26 for this level of service!!! Most barber's charge £11-14 for highly stylised and carefully done boy cuts, including patterns. His cousin had a better experience with her cut.

Absolutely LOVE my new hair. My first time at this salon and my first ever balayage! Katie really listened to what I wanted and took the time to talk me through all the options, very clearly explaining what would or wouldn’t work on my hair. I felt like I was in very good hands right from the start of my appointment and immediately trusted Katie to do whatever she thought would work best. I couldn’t be happier with the result, which is exactly what I had been hoping for. As someone who generally finds hair salons very difficult and anxiety-inducing I felt very comfortable throughout this appointment and will definitely be back. Thank you Katie!
