Chloe Jones is a very nice and helpful person, she is very patience and helped me a lot when I live in Piccadilly, she even keeps helping me small things after I moved out of it. And also she is very efficient with solving problems. Thanks so much and you guys should contact her for assistance!
The staff are great! The location city center, gym on premises, and WiFi included are all great aspects of living here. A major con is that there is construction happening across the road from the building which is very noisy and will wake you up 8am every weekday and continue to 5pm. When I moved in my room was dirty and in disrepair. The toilet didn’t flush, the radiator was broken, and many things were damaged. The girls at concierge were helpful, but for the rent charged you would expect a minimum functionality at move in. Lilian’s help was invaluable to me throughout the leasing process as an international student. Her communication is always prompt and thorough.
Chloe was fantastic at supporting me through the signing process. It was made a very smooth and simple process and Chloe was quick and informative at answering queries and concerns. I couldn't have asked for anything more and has really made a great impression and I look forward to moving in soon.

Chloe was amazing with her correspondence in me helping my son find an apartment in York, whilst doing this all from South Africa. Nothing was a problem and she gave us all the information that we needed. Please contact Chloe at YPP should you be looking for an apartment in York, whether you are a professional or a student. And when we arrived in York, everything was ready for my son to move straight into his apartment. He received all the correspondence he needed to set up his accounts.
Very bad experience staying here. First, YPP is based in Leeds not York so reception staff Amber and Jake are always leaving early or not at reception at all. Second, at check out, they will do everything they can to deduct your deposit, like crawling on the bed to take pictures of the ceiling and claiming that we stained the ceiling. This is ridiculous, the people who live in YPP are ordinary people instead of giants. Also, they will mark dirty rooms as clean and beautiful upon check-in, everything is the resident's fault. Please don't stay here if you have better options, otherwise your deposit will be fully charged by YPP.
Don’t like Piccadilly residence cause they always make unreasonable deposit deductions. A lot of deposits will be unfairly deducted by them when you checked out. Watch out!
I’ve lived here since July 2020 and I have overall liked my experience. The rooms are modern and nicely furnished with room for making it homely. You feel secure and the staff are very friendly. The bin chute is probably my favourite part of the building! This being said, I’ve had so many issues with the meter of the flat being wired to my neighbours apartment for whatever reason? This resulted in unholy amounts of debt with scottish power with no help from YPP. Another problem is that it is far too hot in the summer and yet you’ll be freezing in the winter. The people are very nice here, however, and everyone seems to keep to themselves. There’s not much sense of a community which I personally prefer, but I know social butterflies would probably find an issue there. Piece of advice: make sure you say “st Denys road” when having anything delivered, especially food deliverers like Just Eat, as they WILL go to Piccadilly Plaza which is behind this building.
At first everything seemed fine with the flat and the team. But in the process of moving out it turns out that YPP is an unprofessional organisation. The flat I was in had many flaws and was always too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter due to leaky windows. Upon the end of the tenancy they would not give me the contact of an agency approved cleaner and deducted cleaning fees after the inspection. If you live there, you should also make a burns test to check if the electrical meter is really wired to your flat and not the neighbours. One of the worst houses I lived in.
YPP was a fantastic option for us as students. The accomodation was clean, modern and always quiet to live in, which was fantastic as this was not something we expected. YPP letting staff in Piccadilly Residence wear great, they always seemed approachable, always had a smile and 'hello' when coming in the residence and always gave good notice if they needed to gain entery to the flat. With a onsite free gym to use, pool table, football table and social area this appartment seemed like a steal. Another fantastic positive was how safe the building felt, with 24 hour CCTV in place, fobs haveing to be used to gain entery to the building and each floor and security on an evening. The only negatives I would have to say about this propety was the room size would be best reccomended to single occupancy rather than duel, although the propety had lots of storage. A final negative we had was the noise from the lift on a couple of occasions which resulted in an out of order lift but was soon resolved. Throughout our whole stay at this property Rick was consistantly friendly and approachable and always gave fast and helpfull replys. On moving out day Elizabeth was availible to answer my questions I had despite being busy. Along with this, Kiz was so helpful by offering us a helping hand to get our items to the car and had a lovely chat with us about where we were moving and asked if there was anything else he could do to help. Overall I would recommend Piccadilly Residence to other students.
