Just returned from a Christmas night out at Olives with a group of 9 friends. It was an absolutely wonderful night, food was fantastic, can’t rate it highly enough. Our thanks go out to Christian and his female colleague whose name I didn’t get, their hosting skills second to none, also to the chef and his staff for providing such excellent fayre. Thanks again from SADOS we’ll be back that’s for sure.

Today was the first time that we had eaten here. The place was busy, there was a party of 24 already in the place, which probably contributed to the delay in getting our courses. That said staff kept of informed of when our food would arrive. When it did we were surprised at the size of the portion. Once we started to eat the food we were amazed at the quality of the food. It is obvious the chef knows how to cook. Shame I can only give 5 stars. This place deserves more. Looking forward to going again next week.

Had a lovely late afternoon here with friends. We had the Tapas. First time here. The staff especially He Man ( you know you are) and Lennon were really attentive, welcoming and funny. Helped to make our afternoon.

A great place for a”golden years “ lunch. We had soup (quite a lot of choices for starters) which was delicious and served hot! Main courses were traditional fare - beef casserole in red wine sauce, fish pie, roast dinner, liver and onions, chicken in mushroom sauce etc. something to please and satisfy.

I called in for a late lunch with my friend. He had visited the restaurant several times before and told me that the food was lovely. The food was indeed fabulous. I had the fish pie and my friend the roast dinner. My fish pie came with a bowl of mixed vegetables. It was delicious! My friend said his roast was also superb. This restaurant is an absolute gem! I'll certainly call again and if I lived locally it would be my regular place to eat. Oh! And the price for my Fish Pie and Vegetables was £8! My friend's roast was the same price!!

Excellent food and service. We had dinner but did not stay in the rooms.

Shameful pub, closing early when there's paying customers, but serving special customers, newly taken over, what a joke, you won't last with this poor service and terrible attitude! Won't be getting my business!

This place is recently under new ownership. We really enjoyed it. Looks great inside. So cozy and pretty. Food was great. Service was great.

The hills have eyes. Greeted by some hillbillys at the bar. You could see the girls knickers who was pulling pints and it wasn't a pretty sight. No lights on out the back. Won't go back here, looks like somewhere my ex wife would fit in.

Stopped off here for a quick drink and to watch the cyclist for IronMan going past with a group of friends. As we were waiting at the bar to be served the food coming out of the kitchen smelt great so we asked the girls on the bar for a quick look at the menu. The staff were brilliant, we asked them if they could stick the F1 on for us and they did straight away. We were indecisive as to whether to order food or not but one of the girls talked us round, we had a laugh and a bit of banter with her. The food arrived promptly & was homely, freshly cooked & tasty pub grub, all for a reasonable price. Highly recommend the Sunday Lunch & the Cheese & Onion Pie. Looking forward to our next visit already.
