    This is a great little store with super friendly staff. I think I know most of them by name and if not, by the fact they say hello. The store has a reasonable fresh and ambient selection as well as a huge freezer section. A lot of of the branded or promotional items are cheaper because they’re close to their sell by date, which is fine as long as you know. They do also sell a lot of regular items like sauces and crisps and cheese etc which have regular sell by dates. Keep up the good work guys.

    Most unprofessional experience I've ever had in a shop. Lad on the till talking none stop to someone on his headset, not even talking about the job, just talking pure nonsense right in front of a queue of customers and at the same time as serving one. Zero regard for paying customers. Wont be back.

    A great place to grab something quick to eat. If you happen to be a Heron I would not recommend it as there was no food suitable for Herons. I would suggest a nice pond or river instead.

    The litter situation in the car park for the store is dire. Heron foods could mitigate this by emptying their bin more often and occasionally cleaning up outside the store. After litter picking myself on multiple occasions I contacted their company directly, I’ve received no reply so unfortunately am writing in here. I’ve also contacted the council. Who carried out a mass litter pick and removed some large waste from the car park. Clearly there are other factors. But Heron is the only active company in that car park (with the pub closed) it would be nice if Heron helped the local community by at least doing their bit. The car park is disgusting all the time. EDIT: 1/8/2024: Heron foods contacted me and said they would discuss this issue with their area manager and the store, it sounds like they will do some cleaning and weeding. I have increased the review from 1 to 2 stars due to them replying. EDIT 9/10/2024: No weeding took place. They passed the buck to the free holder. So reduced the review back down to 1 star.

    Unusual selection of branded goods and unusual items at super cheap prices. Love their bacon packs, excellent quality and doesn't shrink when cooked. Really interesting items which you might not see elsewhere.
