The staff is very bad. Better to avoid.

Good selection of products but make sure you have a club card or you'll pay through the nose. Friendly staff, tidy store. Car park access isn't the best and not many spaces.

Horrendous place. The scratch card capital of the country. Desperate people clinging to the hope of winning a few pounds. They should have had an education and gotten decent jobs. Been a few times recently. Self service tills often not working. When they are not working only one manned till is open with massive queues. Staff oblivious to this and only open a second till when asked to do so. Usually stood around yapping and on mobile phones instead of serving the customers. Certain staff members usually the male till staff are painfully slow. The whole area outside is one of decay and despair. The smell of cannabis hangs in the air. Locals are whizzing around dangerously on mountain bikes and doing wheelies on the sidewalk. Then they throw the said bikes on the ground at shop doors forcing customers to step over them to get in. Anything goes inside this store. I've seen bicycles, scooters etc being taken inside yes inside. There is ankle deep litter and broken glass everywhere outside. Avoid if possible. Beware of overcharging. Some items marked price comes up at a higher price on their tills. This is illegal and has being going on nation wide for several weeks now. Reported to the authorities. Tesco owes a lot of people a lot of money . Avoid.

I popped in 12/08/23 for the first time, ever to send a parcel back with Evri I have never used the machine before and the young fair haired lad who was on the till alone dealt with his customers then come straight over and helped me use the machine and even called me back for a proof of posting receipt! Fantastic customer service. He is an asset to that store! Just wished I’d got his name!

I was off duty and on my way to a christening when I popped in for a few bits. I only wanted some butter for my pizza and a bop brush. After asking an assistant where these might be found she looked at me in bemusement. I then mistakingly asked to speak to the chief inspector, forgetting that I although the staff wore blue uniforms, they were not my 'boys in blue'. When he arrived I thought is was my favourite geordie fugitive Raoul Moat, I could hardly contain my excitement, my heart was going like the clappers. I jokingly asked him on "what aisle can I find a fishing rod and cooked chicken". He looked at me in a way that made me think I hadn't been the first person today to ask this. It was then that I seen him sign an autograph for a young Asian woman in hogwarts attire. Then the penny dropped, it wasn't Raoul at all, I was speaking with Brenden Gleeson. I said, 'the jig is up!', referencing a tribal dance of his homeland, a quip which was either missed or underappreciated by by the ginger thespian. Over the course of an hour or so he spoke very disparagingly about people he worked with in the past. Dame Maggie Smith in particular, accusing her of highering all of the buffet tables to keep Warwick Davis from touching any of the food. When I asked him why he was working in Tesco, he said he was researching a role for a new movie. It was a 'who-done-it' based on the premise of a murder committed in a tesco express in which Lesley Ash was poisoned by sausage roll cooked in the coisant oven. I then regaled Brenden with a tale of how tesco tried to buy my school field. Feigning interest he escorted me off the premises. After surveiling the store later that week. Turns out it wasn't Brenden, just some fat feller chatting shit. 4 stars as although it was an interesting experience, in all the excitement I forgot the butter and was subsequently grounded by Father.

Was having trouble finding the chicken in a can but a really rather pleasant ginger man came to my assistance. He informed me they don't sell it which was quite disappointing, he broke this news in a reassuring manner though so it didn't hit as hard. He also advised that KFC may be a better option anyway as they had an exciting new double down meal available at the time. Only 4stars because too many kids in store at the time, need to sort that out.

excelent store! ginger staff member was very helpful with wifes 4 month premature labour. sprang to action taking off his shoe and sock to fashion a makeshift crib for the prawn like creature my wife quaffed from her wrecked nethers. even went as far to bite and swallow the umbilical chord as our pitbull Shipman was in car with the windows down and doors locked. 4* as wife perished, sleep well my angel. cakes in date
