   My teenager is very nervous about barbers, and we were sad when we lost our regular barber due to lockdown issues. I was having to cut his hair myself… until today. I spent most of the day looking for a barber in a spot that the teenager wouldn’t be nervous in around s.Norwood and Croydon. Eventually I came here and since it was getting to the end of the day, asked if this barber could deal with afro hair. He said yes. My son went into the chair cheerfully because the barber had the calm, welcoming, polite persona that nervous people will feel safe in. He seemed to have gentle but confident hands, and quite soon transformed my son, without a single shred of nervousness from the teen! The teenager was absolutely delighted with his new look and said Chikos is now his favourite. The shop itself is really good looking as well, well decorated, very clean and well presented, and smells nice. Waiting seats were comfortable. Great experience. We will surely be back!

   Amatuers, this was my first haircut since lockdown and I regret ever going to these guys. Firstly the young guy who cut my hair was soo slow it was depressing. Second he done a terrible job with the cut that I had to actually tell him to fix it. I ve never been to this place before and its unfortunate that the guys I go to regularly were still shut since lockdown otherwise I would never have tried Chikos.
