   I was there twice, the first time seat no. 1, the barber was nervous and rude, jerks your head during the haircut, he cut my hair completely differently than I wanted, not equal lengths on both sides, the second time the last seat, a young guy who does not focus on the haircut, talks to his friends, goes away and comes back a few times, also jerks your head and pulls your hair hard, unprofessional approach, the final effect is completely different than what I wanted, it is better to avoid this place, the worst hair salon I have ever been to

   Croydon Barber is an absolute gem of a shop that delivers both style and care in equal measure. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Daniel and his cousin, both incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made me feel right at home with their relaxed and approachable demeanour. Daniel’s cousin chatted with me for a bit, ensuring I was comfortable, before Daniel took over to handle the work. The shop itself has a fantastic atmosphere. The wood-panelled walls give it a warm, classy touch, while the ceiling, illuminated with rows of circular lights, creates a vibrant yet calming space. The cleanliness was impeccable—everything from the chairs to the equipment was spotless, showing their attention to detail and professionalism. I came in for a head shave, and as bald smart men know, this requires both precision and expertise. Daniel didn’t disappoint. He worked with steady, confident hands, making sure every part of the shave was smooth and flawless. He didn’t rush through it but took the time to ensure perfection. The aftercare was where he really excelled—applying a warm towel to soothe my skin, followed by a refreshing cool spray that left my head feeling clean and invigorated. Croydon Barber far exceeded the experiences I’ve had at typical shops, where service often feels rushed and impersonal. Here, it’s all about taking the time to get things right, and the affordable prices make it even better value for money.    Went to this barbers for ages just because it’s near to me - if they’re not busy you sometimes get a reasonable trim- but have had some pretty bad ones too. No one really talks in there & the owner is the least talented barber.

   Clueless. Terrible cut. Asked for a low drop fade, nothing off the top, the one type of cut you would expect barbers like this to be good at, and it still turned out awful. Nothing off the top does not mean nothing off above the skin line. How you do a fade without blending the upper sides or back in at all is beyond me, and the fade itself is atrocious. Will have to go elsewhere to get this fixed as much as it still can be.

   Overall a good barbers. I use them quite often and is also quick but do a pleasant job. However, I feel like they charge me £1 more every time I go there?!

   Awful customer service, and not for the first time. Asked for a skin fade, and the actual faded part was about 1cm long and then either side was one length, which ofcourse makes the fade look abrupt rather than smooth. I explained what I was looking for but was rudely brushed off as 'that isn't how he does it'. Explained further what I was looking and he started aggressively cutting the longer side of the fade before then asking if that's okay. Just left it there as I'm not trying to mess up my hair. Shaped up the back, but didnt shape up the sides. Also didn't clean me up after as barbers usually do brushing up the hair. Just to give more clarity, I've come here 3 times. The first time the barber was amazing, listened to what I wanted, and executed it perfectly however haven't seen him since. The second time was when I had the guy I was explaining about above. I only realised I got him again was when I mentioned something I'd like while doing my haircut, and he gave the same response as last time which was 'this is how I do it' or something along those lines. Been there 3 times, and twice had bad experiences so wouldn't recommend. And also when leaving, other barbers could tell I wasn't happy, the barber cutting my hair could tell I wasn't, but there was no effort to make up for it atleast, so I can only assume the actual owner of this barber wasn't there today hence the lack of customer service, or possibly he was but that's just how they run things.
