   We have just finished a two night stay & have to say we are blown away by how good it was!!! Helen the owner was absolutely lovely & cooked a fantastic breakfast! Nothing was to much trouble, pots of tea were offered whenever Helen saw us! Parking is in a secure courtyard We will definitely return!

   One of the 4 star B&B's you can stay in, Helen is a fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble for her. TIP 1. Book direct I saved £70 with a simple phone call to Helen. TIP 2. Biker friendly and feels safe as you have an electric gate for the entrance and a dog who will hopefully bark if she hears anything untoward? TIP 3. Dog friendly as well. Breakfast is 6 stars with enough choice for almost everyone. If you are looking for modern this is not the place for you. If you are looking for clean, great shower, comfy bed it's the place to be. TIP 4 The downstairs room is smaller but has a great view of Helen's little homestead and its own entrance. I would have knocked off only half a star for the room for a couple of reasons 1. Fridge was very noisy but I did inform Helen and she says she will change it 2. Broken door handle on bathroom door and bathroom cabinet had some black tape where a panel is missing However none of this would stop me staying here again. Attention to detail is great with scissors provided for those pesky sauces just one of the things Helen has thought of.

   Helen is a lovely hostess. It seems like nothing was too much trouble. Very helpful with local knowledge. Room was large with enough room for our dog as well. Not to mention the excellent breakfast while watching the horses.

   Absolutely fantastic stay. Pure luxurious, 5 star experience. Helen was an amazing host, very generous, friendly, chatty, kind, hospitable, attentive etc. The beds were extremely comfortable, large and warm too. Beautiful, spacious rooms with excellent decor too. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing, exceptional too. Cannot recommend this place enough. Immense value for money too. Thank you very much. Incredible experience.

   Had a really fabulous, relaxing weekend here with our dogs thanks to the lovely lady Helen who owns Ravencar. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, breakfast amazing, lovely spacious rooms with everything you need . Nothing is too much trouble and you feel so welcome . Our dogs had a sausage on a morning and it was so nice to know they were made to feel so welcome too. This B&B definitely needs visiting and we shall definitely be returning.

   Absolutely love this place. Booked just looking for a standard budget place for 2 nights, did not expect the service I got here. Helen and all other staff are lovely, tea and cake on arrival was a welcome surprise. Room is huge with private access into shared courtyard. Breakfast is fantastic with great views over the horse stables. Would absolutely stay here again, just need the excuse to come back. :) Only minor gripe is as a tall person, the shower was barely up to my shoulders. I managed though, and doubt much can be done about the sloping roof in bathroom anyway. :)

   To start with Helen is a fantastic host, tea and coffee on arrival with accompanying cake (fantastic choc orange). So polite and accommodating. Room was fantastic with amazing roll top Bath and super comfy bed. Lovely dining area, small and personal. Cannot wait for breakfast!
