Horrible horrible service. I didn’t encountered such rude and boorish service in ages in a Polish shop or in Poland. Maybe all the louts settled here. As they say “a Pole will leave Poland but Poland won’t leave the Pole”. The narky cashier was visibly annoyed that I interrupted her about to have a ciggy break. The counter is so cluttered that there was not enough space for me to unload my Christmas shopping. The cashier grumbled that she had no space to put already scanned stuff when I was unloading shopping. So I was supposed unload my shopping, then move it to another place and then also pack all of this. What exactly do they pay you for? At some point she stopped scanning and when I kept unloading the stuff she grumbled again that she had no space. I’m sorry but I was doing a few things at ones while you could chill and scan everything while complaining! Then after paying I had to move the shopping to the trolley but there was so little space I had to keep moving it so that people could enter the shop. Meanwhile the cashier refused to serve more customers because I was in the way while I had to load loads of stuff by myself. I tried my best to make some space. The customers were kind to each other and suggested to let one another go first. They kept joking around and being nice to the obnoxious cashier who didn’t try at all to go along and be nicer. I moved on the side to make space but my shopping kept falling out. My anxiety was through the roof while other customers in the queue were staring and the cashier kept on moaning unprofessionally to the customers that she didn’t know what was going to happen during Christmas when it would be packed. She even tried to stop people from coming in the shop. I felt like a huge inconvenience so I APOLOGISE SO VERY MUCH for inconveniencing you and contributing to the sales of your shop with over £70! I thought that what customers were supposed to do and this is why shops exist but god forbid you take your time packing. Bloody Christmas cheer from Polish Catholics. I bit my tongue all the way because I try to be kind at all times. But when my bag fell on the floor and spilt the contents and no one was so kind to help (apparently I was a nuisance to everyone) I just got pissed off, left one item I paid for behind and growled goodbye in the tone I copied from the horrible cashier. No one get obliged to give me the item back, probably relieved the nuisance left. I was looking forward to that shopping because I’m rarely there and prices are a bit lower (although also inflated) than in other shops. I can only say the other staff was nicer. Also, the wonderful cashier went to keep an eye on kids that just came in just because they had darker skin. I honestly do not know what corners of Poland people like that come from but where I’m from no one behaves like that. I forget the likes of that person still exist because it’s been ages since I experienced such treatment. What a miserable, unhappy person you must be to take it out on others. I can only be sorry for you. Merry Christmas. Also, they sell food really close to the expiry date and it’s not even cheaper. ETA: some of the previous negative reviews including those complaining about the service disappeared mysteriously…
Be aware! If you aren't polish then you aren't getting any greeting and can feel very unwelcome, like your money isn't good enough. It's a shame because they have a very good offer and it's nearby, but I will avoid it from now on.
