No parking was left available on site when I arrived, very limited, I'd say assume it will be full upon arrival. There is on street parking nearby with a pass from reception to avoid tickets. I was booked in quickly and the receptionist was polite and competent. The rooms are decent enough, minus points for the sticky looking table, but generally clean and tidy. Biggest negative for me was that it appears to be near student accommodation. It's after midnight and noisy outside, people laughing and shouting. It's fine for what it is and I'm happy enough for a night's stay to see some friends. Can't argue with the price either.

It's cheap. That's the real plus here. Luckily I was only travelling for a gig so I just needed a crash pad. It's far too hot and there are no fans. You need to keep the window open. That's a major issue because it turns out it's amongst student accommodation and it is essentially set up as small student accommodation. Students like to party all night, which would be ok if you could shut the noise out. Even using it as a crash pad, I'd like to be able to rest. There's a basic small TV, desk (with ethernet port, I wish I'd known about that one in advance, there's a lot I wish I'd known in advance) and basic chair that had a well worn butt shaped print in it. Internet speeds were great. This was needed because signal was poor on both 3 and EE networks. You do have to keep logging back into the WiFi. This could be an issue if you need a connection and have no signal. Interactions with staff were very brief, but they were nice. I didn't stay for the free pastry and drink. I wanted to escape ASAP. The mattress was horrible. It's just firm foam. Not memory foam, just like firm furniture foam. It was very uncomfortable. I couldn't have managed multiple nights on that. The bed is probably around 4ft wide, so between a single and a double. You'd struggle to get comfortable with more than one person. Overall, it's ok in a bind. It's cheap, fortunately. It's not comfortable, whether it's noise, heat or the mattress, it's just not a comfortable stay. Overall it felt a bit like staying in a private room at a youth hostel minus the amenities.

My stay here was good, I liked that they gave a complimentary hot drink and croissant in the morning. If you are thinking to stay here, bring a portable fan because it was so hot, glad I packed one with me! I did find a pretzel just behind the mattress which put me off and also thereβs an electric charging point at the Halifax Hall hotel next door, unfortunately someone parked there and we werenβt able to use it at night. Staff were nice and friendly

I had a fantastic stay at Jonas Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed, including a smart TV and en-suite shower. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. I loved the free coffee and pastry in the morning, and the location is perfectβquiet, close to the University and Botanical Gardens, with easy access to the city center. Great value for money, and Iβd definitely stay here again!

A bit unusual- it's smart & modern overall, clean etc but rooms are extremely bare. Nothing other than a bed & shower basically, gives a depressing impression of staying in a hospital. Alhough there's zero tea, coffee or anything in the room, the breakfast (in neighbouring building) is strangely much better than expected with great buffet continental options, coffee machines and served hot breakfast. The location is leafy and affluent- residential, very nice. Plenty of parking too.

I find it perfectly ok, even pleasant. Yes beds are small doubles and if you are here on weekends noisy students are making their way back to their rooms situated on the same road but ear plugs solve that issue, and given the price - which includes a small brekkie - I can't find anything wrong with the hotel. Plus, I found it clean, which is not a given in a lot of places unfortunately.

Small room, but it had everything I needed. Shower worked well, bed was comfortable, towels and soap provided. Maybe not as nice as a Premier Inn, but adequate. No complaints.

It's brilliant if you know what you are getting yourself into. If you know its old student accomodation and want a cheap night this is perfect. It's got great little rooms with a desk. Only complaint is rooms were too hot

Very low cost budget accommodation (administered by the Uni). Rooms are quite small & compact, probably initially designed as halls of residence but have almost everything you need. I say 'almost' because there's no tea/coffee making facilities if you need an evening cuppa. Everything is fairly clean & tidy but some rooms are in need of minor decoration/repairs (my shower was partly blocked & toilet seat was loose.) Parking is also extremely limited! If you arrive late, there's little chance of finding a parking space. Only MAJOR down side is the noise created by some guests! It's bad!! I suspect this is a regular haunt for students & their 'friends' drinking & partying over the weekends. A friend staying in an adjacent room was subjected to constant barrage of shouting, door slamming & abuse until 5-6am. When he politely asked the offenders to keep the noise down... he was told to "f*** off" by a couple staying in another room (beds really are not suitable for 2x people?!) I think the staff are well aware of the noise problem but do nothing to tackle it. As a heavy sleeper, it didn't affect me but, if you're a light sleeper... consider a better / more comfortable hotel. You have been warned!

Overall fantastic place! Had a great time at Jonas (except for the stench in my room's toilet). The reception even gavee 2 electric heater when cold was getting much for me. Pleasant environment.
