We were made very welcome at this lovely, traditional hotel. The room and bathroom were clean and well equipped, with large windows looking over the pleasant garden. Gaynor is the perfect hostess, and cooks a mean breakfast! Thank you.
Very clean bed and breakfast.Coronovirus laws were put into practice.Fantastic breakfasts,good variety,especially the English cooked breakfast.Within walking distance to bus and train stations,town centre and eating places.Gardens at Acorns are beautiful and keep well.Always enjoy our stay.
We travelled as a group of three from Surrey and have just returned home having had a superb weekend stay at The Acorns Guesthouse in Chesterfield. Our room was really lovely, very clean and had everything that one would need whilst away from home. There was ample supplies of tea and coffee and there was even fresh milk in the fridge which is replenished daily. There is adequate parking in their private car park which is situated at the back of the guesthouse and Chesterfield town centre is within easy walking distance so no need to take the car if your only venturing out locally. The Proprieter Gaynor Richardson was really lovely, friendly and very welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. The full English breakfast was cooked to perfection but if you don't fancy this then you can have an omelette or eggs cooked any way you like them.In addition to this there is also a good variety of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, toast, a good selection of marmalade & jam plus fresh coffee, tea and orange juice. So if you are thinking of somewhere to stay this little gem of a guesthouse comes highly recommended - you won't regret it. Everything that you need for afew days staying at the Acorn Guest House. Including a silent fridge. Breakfast very well presented and generously portions all included in the pritce. Much better than the hotels
