   Usually quiet enough to not have to worry about booking a table in the week but definitely advisable if your planning on going at weekend, during school holidays or when the weather is nice as its got several caravan / motorhome pitches (complete with hook ups) available to hire for over night or longer stays area to the rear, which are bookable though the pubs website. Dogs are welcome at the pub but only in the outside area there are water bowls and dog biscuits self self F.O.C. located just inside the front (main) door immediately to the right. Only if your a paying customer of the campsite at the rear and have pre booked a table your able to bring your dog inside with you but can an only sit in a select area. Drinks are 10% discounted if you use the QR code (on each table) and app. Be careful when ordering food e.g. asking if i want bread and butter when I ordered scampi and chips without mentioning that is £3.50 extra for 2 slices of bread and butter. Range and prices are pretty similar to that found in other venues 8oz steak = £20 Scampi n chips = £15 2pts Lager, 1pt bitter shandy 1 med wine n soda = £20

   Stayed for two nights, room was warm and comfortable and had everything you required for an overnight stay. The pub had a great atmosphere and was obviously dog friendly as many walkers visited throughout the two days. The restaurant menu had reasonable choices for breakfast and evening meals as well as bar type snacks. The whole ambience was pleasant and relaxing.
