   Me and my husband enjoyed an overnight stay at this lovely pub/hotel and we have both said we will definitely stay again. Our room was a really good sized double which had a table and two chairs to sit on. Great view. The bed was so comfortable! Bathroom was lovely and clean with a shower. Loved the complimentry bottles of water on the table and chocolate laid on the towels. They even had hot chocolate sachets along with the tea and coffee! We had a meal in their restaurant. Compliments to the chef as the food was delicious. Was made to feel very welcome by the staff. We would recommend anyone to stay here. Hopefully we will be back again soon.

   We loved our 2 night stay in this lovely old pub. The room was very nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. The staff were warm and friendly. The location was ideal for us being just a short drive from Matlock and Matlock Bath. The pleasant walk around the lovely park at the rear of the property was a nice bonus. Only down for me was the limited parking but luckily we waited and managed to get a space.

   Nestled in the heart of Darley Dale, Barringtons is the kind of place every town secretly wishes it had and a restaurant that manages to combine classic comfort with proper polish. My wife, two friends, and I dropped in on a Sunday for a meal, and what followed was the kind of dining experience that reminds you why Sundays are meant for roasts. I chose the nut roast with Yorkshire pudding, accompanied by a generous spread of seasonal vegetables. It was hearty, flavoursome, and most importantly steaming hot, served on plates that had clearly been warmed with the same care as the food itself. My wife opted for the lamb roast, perfectly tender and richly satisfying. Across the table, one friend enjoyed the pork roast, while the other tucked into a steak and ale pie that looked as though it had been lifted straight from the pages of a proper English cookbook. If the mains were a triumph, the desserts were nothing short of showstoppers. A zesty lemon sorbet in a brandy snap basket offered crispness and zing, while my own choice a raspberry and vanilla cheesecake with vanilla ice cream which was sheer indulgence. I owe that recommendation to our waitress, who was not only polite and attentive but clearly knew her menu inside out. Then there’s the price. Two courses for £20 feels almost too good to be true given the quality on offer. This is honest food, beautifully executed, and at a value that makes you wonder why you’d eat anywhere else. The background music was great. Barringtons is a must-visit if you’re in the area of Darley Dale’s hidden gem. Warm service, piping hot plates, and food that delivers exactly what you hope for: flavour, comfort, and satisfaction. I’ll be back, without a doubt.

   We were in De-luxe room 1 for one night and what a fabulous room!!! It was huge with king size bed, desk, comfy chairs and at least a 12 foot velvet window seat complete with foot rest for those of us who have short legs!! The bathroom was large and really pristine but the only downside was the toilet roll holder which definitely needs changing!! Other than that it's first class.

   We stayed last night with four other friends what a gem of accommodation. Our room was huge with a four poster bed. The place is absolutely spotless. Had a a meal in the restaurant which was absolutely beautiful. Would definitely recommend this place.

   Food here was yummy, we got some side dishes to share which we thought were a bit pricey for the amount you get, but we're very tasty. We were a bit confused on where to go when we arrived, we asked at the bar for a table because we couldn't see any other staff members and the girl behind the bar seemed to be confused as to why we were asking her.

   Lovely place for an overnight stay. Booked a twin room and was told it was a small room. The room was fantastic. En suite bathroom, very comfortable beds, chocolates on the pillow, fluffy soft towels, hospitality tray had a variety of drinks plus bottled water. Hair dryer in room. Very comfortable night. Highly recommended
