   Perfect simple camping barn. Separated from main campsite by some trees so there is privacy. Friendly owners. Be aware as mentioned before that there are no curtains, and phone signal is only available in adjacent field!

   I’ve stayed at the Reckoning House five times in recent years and have really enjoyed our stays. It is cheap, so temper your expectations, but if you go knowing what to expect it is great. The kitchen is reasonably well stocked with utensils and facilities although note there is no oven and the fridge does not have a freezer compartment. There is one toilet with wash hand basin and shower. The shower is warm with plenty of power. Upstairs, two rooms of three bunk beds. There are no curtains or blinds on any of the windows and a floodlight at the front that stays on all night so we take three old sheets with us to act as curtains for the bedrooms. There is no Wi-Fi and (almost) no mobile signal - that might be a good thing or not depending on your point of view! On our recent visit we discovered a tiny patch of inconsistent mobile signal next to the dining room outside door. If the weather is fine, the little courtyard at the front is a lovely south facing sun trap. We had all of our meals there on our first visit and didn’t use the dining room at all.

   Decent camping barn. Heating, hot water and cooking facilities all in the barn. There are 2 dorm style rooms that sleep 12 in bunk beds. Very reasonable price. We found that the phone e signal was poor in the barn but you could get 3 and 4G outside the barn.
