As someone who takes their dog everuwhere I was disappointed about this not being pet friendly inside, dogs are allowed on the outside grounds. I understand of course but it’s something I wandered before heading here. Atmosphere is amazing, food is filling, service was perfect. I felt very comfortable being here and spending time exploring what they had to offer before eating in the cafe. A slight cost but worth it for a treat

Today, on the 22nd December 2025 we went straight to the cafe which we’ve been before and it’s always a bit disorganised. A lady served us wearing an elf costume. She asked my mum what she would like and my mum asked for a mince pie. The lady was off hand and said which one? My mum is quite hard of hearing so she said just a normal mince pie please. Not realising there were two options. The woman huffed and said ‘a Viennese or another kind’ and I said ‘it’s the Viennese mum’ and she said ‘oh sorry I’ll have the Viennese mince pie’. The woman walked off to get it and said ‘ugh I don’t know why I didn’t join working Starbucks down the road, it would have been easier’. I watched as she said this and she saw that I had heard but didn’t seem to care. She then stated I couldn’t have a dairy free hot chocolate but I could have a dairy hot chocolate even though I could have a dairy free latte/hot drink. She then got our order completely wrong so I spent 15 minutes waiting for an item of food I never asked for. I was then asked what I was waiting for and I specified again the hot chocolate. Overall, the attitude of the staff in the food area is not good. There were two other complaints whilst I was stood there about the lack of a seating area and drinks/food not arriving. The food seating area was also shut so we had to sit outside in December when it is cold? Not a good experience at all.

First time visit and I've already decided that I will be back. Fantastic place with a huge selection of goods. The actual food side of the farm shop is amazing. I could have spent all of my time just perusing the many different cheeses they had. The fresh fruits and vegetables were plentiful and high quality. Plenty onsite free parking, and eating/drink facilities are also available. Very happy with my purchases, and I will be back in the new year.

This is a great farm shop with a wide variety of produce, a lovely home and gift shop and a poorly run cafe. The farm shop team were very attentive and helpful. Prices were ok for a top end farm shop. The range of Christmas decorations, gifts and homeware were excellent. The coffee shop told a different story. It is quite expensive with very slow staff. After 10 mins no one in the queue had been given their drinks and st that point 3 staff reduced to 1.

I love visiting The Hollies Farm Shop whenever I’m in Chester! The seasonal decor is incredible, and both the food and decorative items they have available are amazing. I only visit around Halloween/Christmas time, so I get to enjoy all of the festive-ness. Visiting just after a holiday is great too, as they offer fantastic discounts!

Great place. Not outrageously priced. Beautiful food produce. Lots of Xmas items out now and lots of little stocking fillers around. Cafe and toilets are also on the premises. Worth the visit

Was a thriving cafe/eating out place now only does takeaway which you can drink and eat at the outside tables. Limited menu but good selection of cakes. The area is now a clothes and luxury goods for the home. Long queues form for coffee and service is slow mainly because of staff shortages, shame. Excellent Farm shop has got bigger with local and fresh food

Didn't quite know what to expect from Hollies farm shop as a lot of it isn't seen from the road.We were just expecting a butchers,a few little shops but no it was just amazing.Huge glass buildings with all sorts of Xmas lights and shopping to be had. Amongst the clothing,Xmas trees, vegetables, wine and cheese was chocolate and more chocolate . Everything you need for Xmas is here.We tend to walk round and buy very little but this time our basket was full.A great place to stop at and it was very very Cheshire Set.Two things to point out though is that the Toilets are in a separate block outside, not good if it's freezing out side and also the lovely coffee shop is in a separate building to the very comfortable indoor seating area.Outside you have plenty of table and chairs, loads to look at and a great carpark.Worth a look.

While visiting some friends in the area The Hollies was recommended as a place to drop into on our way home. What a place....looks small from the outside but believe me it's not. Well stocked with lots of goodies. Socks to retro sweets.... Fantastic fruit and veg cheese, cakes the list goes on. Don't usually shop Christmas in October but the Christmas Shop is well worth a visit if you need to update your decorations or go the whole hog, the choice is great and I would say there is something for everyone.
