Decent experience, staff are competent and efficient, good quality food court at low prices. Some of the customers are quite uneducated though and leave their tables messy for the next people but that is Ellesmere Port for you ! Still would give a 5 star rating.

Good selection of stock with mainly reasonable prices. Some special items can be really well priced - e.g. cheeses at Christmas. Fuel used to be cheap but now is only the same price as discounted stations elsewhere on the Wirral such as Gordale or the BP near Bromborough. The reason for the low score is access. The car park is horrific to get out of - queues can easily be 30-40 minutes long due to having only a single road and a badly phased traffic light.

Great branch of Costco. Very friendly helpful staff. Well organised, tidy and clean store. Cafe also very efficient even at busiest times. Petrol station also well organised with cones to direct traffic. Helpful staff on the tills if you may have missed items on offer.

The Good: Costco really shines when it comes to products and prices. The produce is usually good value (until it isn't - I always find trays of rotten stuff), the overall value is excellent, and the fuel savings alone make membership worthwhile. Their baked goods deserve a special mention—though I’m genuinely annoyed they seem to have stopped the big red velvet cake (it was divine, right up there with the carrot cake). And of course, let’s not forget the food court. Always a treat. The Not-So-Good: In my honest experience, the staff aren’t consistently the most attentive. Not all of them, but quite a few of the checkout clerks I’ve come across don’t exactly inspire confidence—it’s a bit like the camera flashing but not actually taking a picture. Not always friendly, either. Another gripe: the restricted shopping hours for “regular” members. Being held to the “peasant hours” while executive members get more flexibility feels unnecessarily tiered, though I suppose that’s part of Costco’s business model.

Please note that 10am is only open for trade only. I had to wait till 11am to be allowed entrance. (Monday - Friday) I have attached a photo of opening times. Petrol open for anyone at anytime during their petrol opening hours however. Never really had a problem with costco or staff. Staff are wonderful.

Great store, but you have to be extremely careful on prices. Some are great, and a reasonable saving on bulk, some are just shocking and expect to pay up to and over 2x standard single item retail price!

I love Costco warehouse. I always go to the Manchester store at Trafford but today, I decided to went to the Chester store as it is closer to where I live. Unfortunately, when I went to the food court to buy something to eat (I was going to buy pizza and there as a 18” spare and other slices), the attendant said it was closed and the last person she was going to attend would be the two in front of me. There were two people behind me so I’ll told them they were closed. Guess what? When I was passing there again, she was attending the two people that was behind me and refused to attend me and my kid. Why that? It’s that because I’m not british (foreign people know what I’m saying - and yes, you can see by my accent and look I’m from abroad). I felt disrespected and I would like to leave here my dissatisfaction. I will also raise a complaint directly on the website because this was not nice and she shouldn’t be treating customers differently.

Been a member for 13 years, honestly this place is just a tax on stupid people now. You pay more per bottle to buy a pallet of ketchup for example than a single bottle at B&M. There's almost nothing now cheaper here than ordinary shop at Tescos. The shopping experience is literally the worst on earth. You're treated like a criminal from the moment you enter (huge queues) , shop, pay (huge queues) and god for bid try to leave (again huge queues) . I won't be renewing my membership.

Normal service was not available due to the ordering pod being out of action. It was damaged by an irresponsible truck driver. Coffee still as good as ever but service slower due to the above. They need to fix it quickly.

Imagine a supermarket on steroids. You can pretty much buy anything here from fuel to shampoo, cake to jewellery. Fuel prices are cheaper than anywhere else and bakery is well worth a try. A lot of things are sold in bulk though.
