   Superb quality food, BUT avoid! I have taken the decision to stop using this establishment for a couple of reasons and feel so sad about it. I am a vegetarian and would absolutely love coming here to eat the scrumptious sausages and bacon thats offered in a morning if I did eat it. They look and smell of perfection with a choice of omellettes, beans, mushrooms and hash browns it is very worth the money. Situated in the Spar in Queensferry it would be difficult to miss this little hidden gem with an alleged 5 star rating for hygiene. However I have to confess my reasons for no longer frequenting this store, which are very sad! Firstly, when being served it feels like a comedy duo with Laurel and Hardy, the assistants dont seem to know what their left and right arms are doing to the point Im cringing for their safety watching. They dont listen to my requirements. I am particular with my fried eggs and only like soft/runny ones. I ask each time and have never had one yet! Today the assistant was ignoring my eggs i was looking over at them thinking theyre ruined and she brought them over and said theyre runny. They were totally solid yet again. She also got my order wrong yet again! I dont complain as this one particular lady looks nervous. Ive been told impossible to do soft eggs yet on the very rare occasion certain members of staff have been very capable. My key point for no longer going here is the hygiene. This is remarkably disgusting and ive seen it numerous times. It has not affected me as i dont eat meat. Otherwise i would have stopped going sooner. When the sausages come out of the oven on the grease proof paper trays. The sausages/bacon are removed with tongs into the serving bay containers. The trays and greaseproof paper are then taken to the bin and using the same tongs scrapped down into the bin with the tongs pushing the paper down inside the waste bin. I saw today the tongs get pushed deep down into the bin. The tongs are then put on the table where they prep cold foods then used to select the food out of the hot booth. This is the worst contamination of spreading bin bacteria i have ever seen and there is no sight of washing hands during this process never mind the tongs touching any other waste inside the waste bin. I have also eaten stone cold baked beans after they have just left the microwave, there doesnt seem to be any temperature control monitoring. Today i heard them say the sausages are done and prodded them slightly and then put into the serving booth. It is a shame, as it all does look so delicious. This is a warning, be careful if using. I have however decided Id rather not! Chatwins in Hawarden offer a high level breakfast just as cheap (exceptional eggs) and quality is superb. Unfortunately not open early.

   Apart from the best bacon butty around these ladies are the best .i have health problems and struggle to walk at times but i rung up and they brought me the 2 items i needed to me now that is what you call service .

   We decided to have a change for Sunday lunch . We went to the deli in the spar Queensferry got 2 carry out Sunday dinners . Absolutely fantastic, 2 meats , 3 veg , roasters , mash , Yorkshire, stuffing ball and gravy. All for the price of £6.00 absolute bargain and very nice . Would recommend to anyone. G Green
