As I’ve recently moved to Chester Armando’s deli has become a staple stop on my shopping trips. The staff member is always helpful and friendly. I love being able to find authentic varieties of pasta and other Italian foods.
I visited Armando's deli after we came back from Italy & I was so looking forward to continuing with the Italian theme at home. Having sourced this shop from Google I drove to it wondering what delights we could buy. However, I walked in to find that apart from a few different types of pasts, 1 or 2 different meats & a jar or two of sauces, I was mostly disappointed. Unfortunately I walked away empty handed & I won't be going back. This little shop could be so good in so many ways & I'm sure it has been in the past but now it needs a bit more stock & a bit more variety.
Visited today after searching for local places to buy guanciale for a superior carbonara! I was welcomed with a wonderful shop of goodies and even more wonderful owner. We talked about different speciality pasta's, dishes best linked to them and when best to order meats in advance. As a hobbyist cook, this is my new sweet shop!
Really good little deli. Some of their products you'll find elsewhere in Chester, but not sold so pleasantly. Excellent sausages!
As an Italian abroad, it really is a taste of home! Such a special deli, and Lina is always lovely. I just wish I lived a little closer (I'm literally on the opposite side of town) so that I could head there more often
Lovely authentic Italian deli, stocks a lot of products that are very difficult to find in other stores, and I had a very pleasant conversation with the owner. Highly recommend, will definitely be coming back!
I have visited Italy quite often, and you can find any authentic Italian goods from this store. Also, this place is run by a lovely Italian lady. :)
A great discovery - family run Italian deli in the Garden Lane area of Chester. Authentic Italian produce of artisan quality that you won't find in a supermarket or pretentious 'boutique' food shops and at reasonable prices. Love the Milano salami!
