I needed a particularly hard to find size of untreated timber off the shelf, although they didn't have it in stock Jacob was beyond helpful. Definitely the kind of customer service which makes a difference. Would recommend.
I have been a customer of this local independent Timber Company since 1988. Staff are always approachable, friendly & helpful whether you are buying a pack of nails or wood to build a staircase. In fact l have used their fence panels for the length of my 111 foot garden. I have recently moved to Enfield and have still purchased fencing for my new garden. Delivered and unloaded by 8.10am. Briliant.

Like an earlier reviewer, I've been using Wacketts for a fair while, and he put it so well that I will keep this short. Basically, the customer service there is second to none, their Materials are top notch (pun intended), and they are a fantastic bunch of fellas. Highly recommended.
I've know the owner Simon Wackett for many years now and for most of them years he's run this family business on his own as MD. This is a unique and traditional Timber merchants that specialize in all types of timber plus lots of other building products, don't be mistaken this is not a builders merchant they specialize in timber, first and second fix basically everything you'll need. If they don't stock it they'll try their hardest to get it for you believe me!! I can justify my 5 stars by saying each one represents a member of staff at any one time.. with only 5 staff they've battled through 2 recessions and still came out fighting with no financial backing either, you've gotta respect that. If like me you'd prefer to deal with a family owned business rather than a corporate owned one then this is it the next day delivery service is excellent and sometimes same day if you get in there early enough.. Overall they really do rival some of the bigger multi chain companies with there quality of service and expertise.
