Good store, had all the items I wanted in stock on a Saturday morning, in the middle of fixing my car. Helpful staff. Looks like most items are in stock as I had a browse while in there. I still have Clarke 1/4” socket sets etc from 20 years ago so very comparable quality to other big uk automotive diy store tools. And machine mart offers the more obscure items you might need.

Just bought 2 shelving and racking units online for click and collect at the Edmonton branch. Absolutely great experience there, the staff were so friendly and helpful..... really refreshing in this day and age! They even wheeled my order to my car and I didn't even have to ask them. Superb service!! Will definitely use them again.

Absolutely awful. They must have a customer service system straight out of 1926. I ordered a present for my father and paid for next day delivery on 18th Dec. It's the 23rd of Dec today, so I called enquiring as to where my delivery is... They couldn't give me an answer on the phone, but I have just received an email stating that, although payment was taken for the item and the next day delivery, it is in fact out of stock until further notice. Finding this out on Dec 23rd when Machine Mart has been advertising guaranteed Christmas delivery if ordered on 22nd is completely unacceptable. Clearly not a company with modern systems and the ability to keep up with growing online orders. Machine Mart are evidently not a company to be trusted and judging by their email response, they have a distinctly pathetic approach to customer service. Merry Christmas Dad....
Not overly impressed. First visit today and I was asked about 3 times whether I wanted to pay by card or cash (it was 20 minutes before closing time) and twice whether I needed help. It felt overbearing as I was just browsing. Also, extremely limited stock in display and - at least in terms of carpentry equipment - not too many quality items. May be worth a visit if you order from their catalogue, but certainly not for browsing due to the small store size.
