Excellent. We have had both of our girls go here. The place is kept really well. It’s really big, much bigger than other nurseries I’ve experienced. Very friendly staff and always positive and happy. Highly recommend.

My son started at Holyrood Princes Dock School in January 2024. For a few months we were happy but something changed drastically as soon as the management of the school passed to another manager, Sara. The first time it happened that my son got wet during a registered activity, so my son was left, in the middle of winter without socks wearing only his shoes, the next day I brought about 7 pairs of socks which were subsequently lost. Another daily problem concerned clothes always dirty with paint, colors etc ... I was forced to complain about this several times and I specifically asked several times to make the children wear adequate aprons and in general appropriate clothing based on the activities to be carried out to protect the clothes and avoid having to throw them away due to indelible stains. I was teased with fictitious answers in which I was proven right and wrong at the same time. I was told that the children use aprons that I have seen and are sleeveless so they do not protect the clothes entirely. One day, when I picked up my son, I found him completely dirty and green! Pants, shirt, arms and face, I washed him at school and I had to throw away the clothes. . For the Glasbury party I bought my son a new Hippie costume from which they lost some accessories.. The worst thing that happened was one morning in August when the children, without us parents knowing, played with an inflatable pool developed by the school. When I went to pick up my son from school that afternoon he was delivered to me without shoes. Barefoot. I was told that the children had played in the pool with their clothes and that my son had gotten his shoes a little wet! They were totally soaked! Totally disagreeing with me I left. When I left my son started crying in the stroller because he wanted to run and walk and therefore have his shoes on his feet. I went back towards the school and I met the old and new manager Sara who was leaving the building. I got angry saying that this behavior was not at all correct that my son wanted his shoes and that he was crying. I was told that my son did not have his rubber boots at school and this is totally false because he did have them! I got really angry and no one apologized, no one consoled or felt sorry for my son who was despairing. The manager Sara reopened the school door and went to look for my son's boots returning with trainers and boots neither of which belonged to my son. I took the trainers and put them on my son. No one apologized, in fact the totally annoyed face of the manager was more than evident and completely out of place. In the end I decided to take my son away from there and on the last day I found him covered in paint. When I complained, teacher Courtney made a face behind me talking to the other teacher. No one said goodbye to us. No one apologized. I even had to take a document about my son's development days later at my request because no one had bothered to send it to us. This school has good potential but the manager Sara has really changed it for the worse. I don't think that most of these people, including Sara, care about children. You can feel coldness and little interest. Too bad.

I am so sad my daughter has just left to go to school. We have absolutely loved Holyrood, Princes Dock. The staff are amazing, and my daughter absolutely shined at nursery and was really confident whilst there, which surprised us all as she's incredibly shy ordinarily. I believe she truly felt comfortable, like they were her family away from home. The graduation for the pre-school children was amazing, and those extra touches were incredible. Thank you so much for keeping my little girl safe and happy. We will miss you all!

Now, looking back, and having had more experience with other nurseries I can confirm this is the best nursery you can get for your child! Fees include nappies, wipes, they are open all Bank holidays and they are open since 7:30! Plus the staff is great, lot's of activities for your little one, always very precise diary. The only thing I wish is them to build another nursery close to our new home, cause nothing looks good enough after them!

We looked at quite a few nurseries both city centre and in South Liverpool, but I knew before finishing my viewing for Princes Dock, that my little boy would be going there. It offers something a bit different to the other places we had seen. The resources are beautiful, and encourage creativity and curiosity for early years learning and the group spaces are super spacious with lots of room and a light feel. The staff are lovely, and its really refreshing to see a diverse workforce which includes quite a few male caregivers. My little boy loves it there.

Amazing nursery!! I could not be happier with the help and support we have received from Holyrood for our son. His development has come on leaps and bounds with the help of the staff and if I have ever had any questions or needed help and advice, they have been great in this aspect! Could not recommend them highly enough.

Our daughter has been attending Hollyrood since October when she was nine months old and she loves it. It's a joy to see her enjoy her days and learn all the interesting and varied activities she engages in each day. Her speech has really progressed, as have her social skills and she is taught all manner of things. The nursery itself is well managed and is large and well equipped and incredibly clean and the food offers really varied weekly options. The baby room has a lot of sensory objects which she loved and her current room is very large and she has regular activities in the garden, library, play village and soft play. The staff are all really engaging when we drop her off and pick her up each day. It was sad to see her move rooms at first as the team in the baby (Discoverers') room were fantastic but she really adapted well and the team in the Explorers' room are fantastic also. A special mention to Alex who was her key worker for months and is an incredible person to entrust your child's learning to and to Jenny and Marta who she has a special fondness for, but there are too many names to praise.
