Extremely distressing experience – lack of compassion and training I visited Sainsbury’s Winchmore Hill on 24th October between 6:30pm and 7:15pm, and witnessed a woman collapse in the store. I still feel shaken and traumatised by what I saw that day. While several customers, including myself, rushed to help, I was shocked by how calm and unresponsive the staff were. I screamed for help repeatedly and asked them to call for a manager or make an announcement to find a doctor or nurse, but they simply carried on scanning items and handing out bags. By the time a customer started CPR, the poor lady had already turned blue. Not a single staff member seemed to have any first aid training or showed any sense of urgency or compassion. A short lady, who I believe was the manager, walked around looking at us but did nothing to assist or announce anything to help save the woman’s life. It was the customers — not the employees — who truly stepped up. To the blonde lady and older gentleman who performed CPR — thank you. Your quick actions and courage made a real difference until the ambulance arrived. Sainsbury’s should take this incident very seriously and carry out a thorough investigation. Staff in every store, especially one this busy, should receive proper first aid and emergency response training. I strongly believe that if help had come sooner, the outcome might have been different. This experience has left me deeply disappointed in Sainsbury’s management and the lack of preparedness to handle a medical emergency.

My mum used to go here independently for years before she had a stroke. I have witnessed a check out member of staff turn her head with her hand to her face to ignore my mum when she spoke to her but today is the reason I’m now writing this review. A manager was stacking shelves, his stock trolley had some plastic tape sticking out of the bottom of his trolley so, my mum placed her hand on his stock trolley to let him know. Instead of being polite and thankful he just said “Well if you let go I’ll sort it” Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful behaviour. Some Staff at Sainsbury’s (Winchmore Hill) should be trained to have respect before they are allowed on the shop floor to have contact with customers! This is my mother and because of her stroke she doesn’t seem to realise when they have been rude but, I DO!

I cant even write a review re my receipt, but there's a lovely lady called Pembe who always greets me with the most beautiful smile. She's warm and caring and is always happy to help. We need more people who go that little bit further in there job. She's a beautiful soul and honestly makes my trip to sainsburys that little bit easier every morning. With so many robots taking ( self service) over, we lose that whole sense of customer service that is missing in this world. PEMBE NEVER CHANGE!!! THE WORLD NEEDS MORE PEOPLE LIKE YOU ,

Sushi section review. I bought sushi yesterday from the Winchmore Hill Sainsbury’s. Not to mention they were tasteless, the only taste which was feeling was from the spicy sauce on the sushi tops. And they also very very thin, like less than one centimetre. What is this about? Trying to cost cut? Not to increase the price and put less ingredients? The sushi are already pricy! Shame on you to cut the quality and size at customers price!

Great range of stock, loads of parking and generally middle priced produce - cheaper than Waitrose, but dearer than Aldi. Its my go-to Sainsbury’s branch whenever I'm working nearby. Good stuff!

the store is quite ok, although it is irritating that the shelves have bad prices or no prices at all. How can you shop if there are no prices? Also at the self-service checkouts there should definitely be 2 employees because one is not enough. Sometimes you have to wait a long time before someone comes to help or check your age whatever.

If you are a smoker be prepared to the longest queues (today there was a queue of 10 people and we were waiting for at least 15 min ) Slow service with staff who simply doesn't care.

No staff, unable to speak to manager. Picked up 2 dolls of colour for my granddaughter and I was unable to purchase them because no barcode and no one to advise. Just taken off me and told I can't sell to you. Very disappointed.
