Its a small place but it has alot of things for you to get them home. You find what you need. The staff is helpful and always busy in arranging things. Really appreciate it

Disappointed by consistently out-of-date stock that no one seems to check! I’ve given Iceland the benefit of the doubt more than once, but the repeated issues with expired products are unacceptable. On 1st October 2025, I found frozen chicken strips still on sale despite the use-by date being 26th September. Then again on 11th October, I spotted Wispa bars for 42p, sounds like a steal no? Thinks again... some dated back to May 2025 and August 2025. It feels like no one’s checking the shelves properly, no one seems to know how to use FIFO (First-In-First-Out) which is REALLY important in a food industry, a basic expectation for any food retailer. I used to rely on Iceland for convenience as its close to my home, but this kind of negligence makes me question the overall food safety standards in store now and I genuinely wonder if I ordered for delivery, will you send me out of date stuff. Really disappointing as Canning Town Iceland NEVER used to be like this.

Is This How You Treat Customers Because We’re “Budget Shoppers”? I’m seriously fed up with the way Iceland treats its customers. Every single time I shop here, I’m forced to use the self-checkout. The staffed tills? Closed, “about to close,” or they serve one last customer and then just shut down—right in front of me, even though I’m clearly waiting with a full basket. This isn’t just one bad day. It’s happened to me multiple times—three, maybe four now. It honestly feels like Iceland doesn’t care. If you’re shopping here, you’re treated like your time and comfort don’t matter. The self-checkout area is cramped, there’s barely any space for a full shop, and staff just leave you to struggle on your own. Meanwhile, at other supermarkets, you still get proper service at the tills. Why is Iceland the exception? It makes me wonder—just because Iceland is seen as a more affordable store, does that mean the customers don’t deserve respect? Do we get second-class treatment just because we’re trying to save money? This isn’t good enough. We all deserve basic service, regardless of where we shop or what we can afford. Iceland, this kind of treatment is driving your loyal customers away. You seriously need to rethink how you operate.

Very rude and unprofessional member of staff. Came in to grab a few bits and pieces on the way home, then went to the cashier till that was open as lady was serving another customer inform of me, expecting to be served too. But just while I was waiting other member of staff came and start closing the gate inform of me and told me to go to self checkout. I asked why I can not be served as the customer before me, he showed me to the self checkout again saying he is closing this till , never mind the shop was empty and I was the only one left to be served. Then he told me that if I don’t like it I should go to Lidl or somewhere else. The cashier lady looked uncomfortable with him saying this.

Literally got scammed by this store. Ordered groceries from Uber eats and received random expired items with no receipt. I called the store and all the manager did was shout insults on the phone about how it is not their problem.

I am very sad and disappointed writing this review, about Ice land store Manager near canning town. Store Manager had told all the staff not to serve us and he is the owner of the store go away, can complaint to head office .He is being very rude and arrogant, just because he couldn't find the product we are looking. And got his anger on us as I wished Happy Christmas he rudely replied I do not celebrate Christmas.. I am a customer of this store from 2011 but never had this experience earlier. Was very discriminative to my wife as she is women. Being store Manage he should be helpful not discriminate to women and his position being used for verbal abuse to customers. It was just a matter of product issue being unavailable My wife only use word you guys don't know. And we been forced out
