Brilliant venue. Very reasonable bar prices and the queue system at the bar worked brilliantly. All the people who we encountered that worked there were very friendly and helpful. Lovely high stage so a great view for vertically challenged people like myself. I'd definitely go to a gig there again.
We had an amazing wedding reception here thanks to Maurice and the team. From our initial chat to the day itself we couldn’t have asked for a better, more helpful team. They deserve every award that comes their way! Thank you for making our day so special (and most importantly - fun!)
Mo the owner is just wonderful. We hosted a fundraising event in the room and Mo was our lifesaver. So welcoming and helped us out no end. Was even telling customers not to buy crisps at the bar but to pay from our fundraiser instead! The venue is stunning. From the outside it looks tiny and inside it is huge! Lovely staff, great drinks, fab venue!
Wonderful, well run local club. The staff are super friendly and polite. The locals warm and inviting. All orchestrated by the Landlord/Steward ...Maurice, (who's professionalism and approachability is second to none). All club's (private or WMC) should look upon Crooks as a model of how to run a successful customer related business. 10/10
It's huge. Kids can run riot in their own room. Great beer selection. Cheaper than chips! Landlord is a great host. Two full size snooker tables, a pool table and wicked jukebox. There's always some random music turn on to entertain the oldies at night. I think there's a dedicated games night on a Thursday. Plus there's always an event going off like a wedding reception, jazz night or kids rave in the Bingo room. It's madness in there. I love it.
Just over a week ago we had a party for my lovely wife's 60th birthday. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The venue we spot on for the live band we had . Would just like to thank Morris ( the manager ) and his team for looking after us .
Crookes Social Club hosted our wedding reception and it was a fantastic evening. Many people told us it was the best wedding party they'd been to and that is a testament to everything about this brilliant venue. From the start, Maurice and the team went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. The venue is amazingly adaptable, full of character and charm, and was big enough for our large party. The stage and dancefloor made a wonderful setting for our ceilidh. We had flexibility in decorating the room ourselves, as well as playing our own music from the good quality in-built sound system. Maurice, Lauren and the team make everyone feel so welcome and special and we we were so grateful for their care and dedication to throwing such a fun party.
Absolutely love this place!!!! Held our annual LDO Christmas Ding Dong [gig] here on Saturday 18th (afternoon and evening). Staff are so helpful/ accommodating and nothing is ever too much trouble! Drinks prices are so reasonable they're almost giving them away! Crookes Social Club is not only one of the best live music venues in Sheffield...it's THE BEST LIVE MUSIC VENUE IN SHEFFIELD. Accoustics, capacity, price and flexibility - this place has everything! Thank you once again Maurice and team - can't wait to be back next year! Dave (and LDO)
