Very attentive and quick service. Rich and flavoursome coffee with milk and brown sugar. Simple bacon sandwich with either brown or white bread. Clean table with spacious area for dining, great views out the window of the Roman amphitheatre. It's lovely and peaceful, an ideal place for a rest and recouperation.
I visited the cafe with two friends, looking for a coffee and sandwich when we were visiting Chester. . This place was perfect: fairtrade coffee, tasty sandwiches and cakes that reminded us of my mum's home baking! The friendly staff blended the best of professional competence and informal, personal hospitality. Thank you!
Lovely Fairtrade shop and cafe. Great bacon sandwiches and coffee. And cake! Friendly, helpful staff and peaceful atmosphere. Will be trying the Tuesday lunchtime music events which look enjoyable. Unfortunate it closes at 2pm
The Tuesday lunchtime concerts here (https://wesleychester.co.uk/whats-on/music-wesley) are well worth attending. Today the performers were four winners of the Chester Competitive Music Festival, mainly students from the Royal Northern College of Music or Chetham's School of Music, all very impressive musicians.
Have been going to the café for more nearly 20 years. Used to go when our kids were little, but still nice to go now they are grown up. Such a peaceful and friendly place, and the staff are lovely too. They have the best scones I've tasted there, so good :-)
Good value drinks, cakes and sandwiches. Seating area at front and a conservatory area too. Same staff as were here furing covid. Genuine supportive venue.
Hi everyone, I visited the church and cafe pre Covid with my husband and found everyone so welcoming . Although I am a practising Catholic I signed up for newsletters and have found them inspirational and comforting during last couple of years so Thankyou ! I hope to come back and visit soon. Friendly and welcoming even on Saturday. Lunch is great. Children's area is most unique with so many fun things to do. Serving the community and all are welcome. Sanctuary is beautiful with some lovely artwork on joy, peace and friendship.
Fantastic place for a coffee break whilst in the city of Chester. Excellent service, great value for money, fantastic if you have young children as there is a little play area were you can sit and relax with a brew or something to eat. Great toilet facilities, buggy and wheelchair friendly. Staff are warm and welcoming.
