Arrived just before 4pm and there was a queue of people waiting to check in and all frustrated because no of the rooms were ready. Had to wait 30 minutes for house keeping to finish off the room. The whole check in process felt amateur, 3 members of staff stood around a laptop trying to work out what rooms are ready, a pile key cards just dumped on the floor and asking guests questions which were answered on the check-in form filled out 48 hours before online. Room was spotless, good shower and air conditioning. Breakfast was ok, lacking variety. Cereals were nice. Bread tasted awful and so did the eggs. Cheese looked like it was days old. Poor quality tea and coffee, but it was free throughout the day.

A NIGHTMARE HOTEL. DON’T BOOK IT SO THIS WON’T HAPPEN TO YOU. We stayed two nights in Liverpool, and the room we were given was an adapted room for disabled guests. First of all, the heater wasn’t working properly. It was -1°C outside, and the room simply wouldn’t warm up at all. But here comes the worst part: when I decided to take a shower, I realized the water wasn’t getting hot. I tried getting under the shower several times, and all I could feel was COLD water running over my body in a freezing room, at -1°C outside. It was absolute torture. I asked my husband to speak to someone at the reception, and he did. The woman at the front desk told him she would come upstairs in 5 minutes. I waited for over an hour. She never showed up. My husband went back to the reception, and to my surprise she said, “The water heats up to a maximum of 42 degrees,” and that “the hotel was fully booked, so there were no rooms available,” and she couldn’t do anything about it. My husband insisted that the water was running cold, nowhere near 42 degrees as she claimed. IT WAS COLD! But she didn’t even bother to come upstairs and check our complaint. She kept repeating that she couldn’t do anything and that the water was “fine.” So yeah… first she left me waiting for over an hour, and second, they’re letting DISABLED GUESTS take cold showers without even taking the customer’s word seriously. I ended up washing my hair in the sink. Do you think that’s the end? Hahaha NO! IT GETS EVEN WORSE! We emailed the hotel manager explaining everything that happened, and to our surprise she told us that we were offered another room and we refused it. WHAT??? Who’s lying here? Either the manager or the hotel staff. Do you really think I would refuse a room with hot water and normal heating? Who does she think she’s fooling? After we replied, we never heard back from her again. No apology, no compensation… NOTHING. Mind you, this was a room for disabled guests! Is this really how they treat people who need extra assistance? My honest suggestion: DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT THIS HOTEL. Whatever you need, they won’t provide a proper solution! ___________________________________________________________ NEW UPDATE - When I tought it was over... Here goes another TERRIBLE review due to the response they gave to one of my previous reviews above. The hotel keeps LYING to try to cover up their awful service and avoid losing customers because of my review, which should disqualify the service they provide. As long as they keep replying to my reviews with LIES and DISCREDITING my words, I will continue to update my reviews on every platform possible. So I suggest you take responsibility for your terrible service and for your staff. The room DID NOT heat up, there was NO room with a shower at 41 degrees (if the water had been 41 degrees, that would have been great), but the water was ICE COLD, and at NOOOOOO MOMEEEEENT was I offered another room. Employees commenting on this are only afraid of being fired. At all times we were told the hotel was full and there was NO OTHER ROOM. I am also adding a photo of the shower situation, and I never stated that it was broken. Have some shame and stop lying! Acknowledge your mistakes and do better! Fire your dishonest hotel staff and hire people who actually want to work.

I went back to the reception, and to my surprise she said, “The water heats up to a maximum of 42 degrees because of the risk of disabled people hurting themselves,” which really makes sense. The problem was that the water wasn't 42 degrees at maximum; it was cold. If it were 42, I would never have complained about it. She told me she couldn't do anything as the hotel was fully booked, and she kept saying the water was 42 degrees. What was a lie, and she didn't even bother to go upstairs to check what I was saying. So yeah… first, she left me waiting for over an hour, and second, they’re letting DISABLED GUESTS take cold showers without even taking the customer’s word seriously. Do you think that’s the end? Stayed here before, but just back from another trip. Stayed in room 504. Told to take a seat upon arrival and await to be checked-in, only for them to start dealing with customers who entered the hotel after I did to check-in. They do need a better checkin service as had issues the last time I stayed and tried to check-in. Rooms are decent for money paid, beds comfy, but pillows seem a little on the small side, not sure why that is. Location is great to get into centre and for work. Free coffee is a bonus. Few issues on this visit. Sink in bathroom blocked and took ages to drain. Air con had aloud clicking noise, so had to turn off as too loud to sleep. Kettle would not switch off once boiled, H&S concern with this. Also top of bed on floor proper dusty, so needs some tlc and hairs in shower. Took pic of TV as bezel cracked, same as TV in room I stopped in last time, pic taken as don't want to be charged for damage already present. Reported issues upon leaving, person I spoke to confirmed that they will look into sink not draining. Overall, a decent stay and despite these minor issues, I will use again.

Saturday stop over for a event. NCP Car Park easy to find plenty of room. Check in easy left luggage with reception. High room clean and quite, 2 lifts. Breakfast good for continental style, hot items on offer. Staff friendly and helpful, tried very hard to find us a taxi but not much luck tho', not there fault tho' Liverpool was rammed that weekend, loads of events. Yes we would go back.

I stayed on the top floor and got the best view, seeing the Royal Liver building right in front of my windows. The location's perfect, right in the heart of the city centre. The 10 pounds breakfast buffet was excellent, given the fact the food in Liverpool is overall very disappointing...Their breakfast is definitely a highlight of my trip! The staffs are all friendly and work effeciently, they are all young and doing their best to serve. The room is clean and quiet, comfortable bed and all. I had very good sleep every night. The only downside is you HAVE TO tell the cleaning lady to clean your room a day beforehand (before 9am), otherwise no one will clean your room even if you hang the sign on your door indicating them to enter and clean. That was the only disappointing thing about the stay. But otherwise, it was a lovely stay.

I liked it. I think I got good value for money. A small amount of wear and tear was visible in the room, but otherwise it was clean and comfortable. The service was friendly. If I could change anything it would be to make their breakfast options more plant-based (always preferably 100% pb, of course). Fantastic location. Close to the action but not so close that I could hear anything at night.

We were so happy that we choose this hotel for out stay in Liverpool. We got upgraded to a premium room which was a pleasant surprise. All the staff was super nice and everything was clean. The hotel has a great location so you can move around the main center of Liverpool by foot. If we ever visit Liverpool again we will definitely book our stay in ibis Styles again.
