   Was looking for a specific Greek wine (Alpha Estate). Looked in several wine shops but most of them don’t sell Greek wines. Found Wapping Wines nearby and popped in on a Sunday evening. H said he was sold out but would get some in for me the following week. Came back and he’d sorted a really good selection of Greek wines, including the Alpha Estate I was after. Great knowledge of wines from all over and cares about what people are after.

   Recently moved to Wapping and went in to Wapping Wines earlier to find a bottle to accompany our meal at Saffar Spice down the road. H, the owner, was absolutely lovely and recommended a fantastic wine to pair with our food. Well priced for the quality too!

   Wapping Wines is the best! I moved to Wapping recently and have gone in multiple times telling H exactly what I was looking for and the price point, and his recs are spot on. He’s never tried to upsell either which we greatly appreciate. Highly recommend stopping by for a bottle!

   This is a fantastic wine shop and well worth traveling to, they have a fantastic selection of beers that you can't get anywhere else like Modelo and La Chouffe including the Cherry La Chouffe which is a delicacy and is very hard to find in the UK. The owner H is also a fantastic guy and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the wine sector and can help you to pick something good out if that's what you need. If you like interesting beers and wines that you can't find anywhere else this is definitely the place for you

   This place has a great selection of fine wines and spirits (Isle of Harris Gin is directly brought in from Scotland and is amazing). Also a great local store in general, helped me source some booze they don’t normally stock, and got it in for me especially right before Christmas. Top man.

   Passing through Wapping I happened upon Wapping Wines and thought it was worth a look. Owner H was helpful and passionate about his wines from the get go, friendly but not doing the hard sell. After a few embarrassed brief words from me about a previous holiday to Italy where I had some good wine, he helped me choose a truly delicious Puglian white. This place has all the best aspects of an independent store and I recommend highly.

   I stumbled across this quite unique and exquisite establishment a few years ago and I always go in and pick up a bottle or two as they do stock some sought after limited edition bottles of whiskey. The shop also stocks some decent craft beers and the wine selection is absolutely fantastic, all sold at competitive prices. The staff are extremely knowledgable and they will go that extra mile to get you what you want. The shop is always clean and tidy hence it is a real gem in the area, especially when independent retailers are hard to find as the big chain stores try to sell everything. I was astonished to see a one star rating and to be honest I couldn’t comprehend the comments after all there was a note on the front to say the shop would be trading different hours. I’ll definitely be popping back in on Wednesday to collect my beers for the World Cup.
