   Since the new owners took over, Hothi Wines has completely lost its charm. It used to have a warm, family-run feel — you’d walk past and be greeted with a smile or a friendly word. The previous owner was always bubbly, welcoming, and genuinely cared about the community. Now, the shop just feels like a regular Tesco. There’s no communication between staff and customers, no personal touch — just a transactional experience. It’s a shame to see such a great local spot lose its identity.

   Just moved into the area, The customer service was brillant and the prices off the goods are much cheaper than the other grocery shops nearby. Spoke to the owner who told me he has been here over 40 years. Warm and pleasant atmosphere with loads of special offers and low prices.    If I could give more that 5 stars I really would. WELCOME TO THE BEST LOCAL OFF LICENSE/SHOP IN THE AREA! Nothing but polite people and great products in the shop. During lockdown this was my ONLY local shop who DIDN'T double their prices overnight like all of the other shops. As a local resident I was more than grateful knowing there's shop owners who don't just care to make a big profit - they actually care about the local residents and didn't try to rip us off like everyone else was. It's things like this that makes you want to come back to someone's shop. You can get all your essentials like tea, milk, bread etc but they have so much to choose from - I can get my pet food alongside topping up my electric, getting reasonable priced house top ups which saves me going to a big supermarket further away. I will see you again soon but I hope your business continues to prosper and I'll be in soon for another bottle of drink, cat food and a nice chin wag! Thank you for supporting the local community, you're good people! God bless

   Always a pleasure shopping from Hothi. The drinks range and prices are good. Most importantly the staff here are well motivated and don’t look depressed, unlike a certain other cash and carry nearby! Good job from the management.
