Nice location and served by a stunning lady behind the bar. My only gripe was my draft pint was not very cold. I understand coolers are working incredibly hard in this weather but after a long walk I just wanted a nice cold pint
My experience didn't happen. My wife and I were meeting my brother and his wife in Newark. They come from Grimsby area and we from King's Lynn. As usual, we plan the day's activities but plan around coffee shops for the inevitable sit-down and refreshments we oldies need; and a good place to eat. Fail to plan - plan to fail. So having settled on The Queen's Head I tried to phone them to see if we needed to book. After ringing on-and-off over 2 days with no answer I gave up. The place we chose as an alternative answered my first call within 2 rings. So a lost opportunity here, we spent a shed load elsewhere. And yes I checked I had the right phone number!
Really nice pub, old-style, comfortable, and well run. Very much recommended. Only down-side is the main doorway is used as the smoking area and it all blows into the bar area. Unfortunately that knocks the score down. Apart from that, it’s one of the better daytime pubs in central Newark.
This is a really pretty pub that me and my friend enjoyed visiting, further welcoming us with the interior design! It is vintage and also has worthy additions on the walls, the staff were friendly and the counter is well-presented. I enjoyed a pint of Carling, seating is comfortable and the prices are solid!
Generic pub that has nothing exciting but nothing offensive. Standard beer choice weird dress code parameters.

This is one of my favourite night time pubs in Newark... Good Friendly staff Brilliant choice of cocktails and drinks Good entertainment Plenty of bouncers Bad Toilets are not very clean and only two so can oftern be queues This isn't the pubs fault but needs a mention, bit of a thuggish crowd
