5* all round! Popped in this afternoon with my broken/seized chain. Joe looked at it for a while trying to work it back to life before I spent money on a new one. Lots of helpful advice and nice friendly chat from both Joe and assuming partner! Unfortunately in my case the chain hasn’t completely fixed my issue with my bike so I will certainly be returning with my bike to book for a check over and let the professionals take a look. Great little bike shop, lots of bits, tools and clothing to choose from. Great small local business! Thanks again! And loved the sense of humour!

Took my tourer in for a some gear modifications. Joe offered great advice and did a cracking job. Took the bike for a short 2 week tour in France and everything worked perfectly. Will definitely be back if and when I need any more work done.

I had an emergency with a slow puncture on a weekend gravel bike packing ride and had lost my tool pouch and had to limp 15 miles to Joe's shop. Joe was absolutely brilliant in getting me back on the road with a brand new tyre (tear in the side wall of old tyre) and the required tools for any future issue. He could have taken advantage of me and charged whatever he liked but in the end I think he actually undercharged me for the work. Joe was also excellent to get on with and full of interesting stories. I would highly recommend his services for any bike enthusiasts whether expert or just starting out.

Quoted £20 to fix a tubeless puncture and a spoke. When i collected the wheel he then said it had to be re-taped and heard him discussing in the back 40-45 which then ended up being £50 when he rang it in the till. 150% increase, £30 for rim taped? I feel if something increases in price 150% you should be informed prior. If not intentionally a rip of merchant then very poor communication has let them down and i wont return. Heard other instances of this. Shame as local. Reply - I was never quoted over the phone, this is untrue. I came in with the wheel in hand with the tyre fitted. The technician in the back shouted £20 through to the lady on the desk when she described the repair without coming out to have a look. Maybe don’t quote jobs without having a look in future. Thank you for your efforts though, i hope it does prove value for money in the end.

I brought my electric mountain bike into Joe to take a look at a problem I was having. There had been some delays on parts due to the current pandemic which was expected but Joe kept me informed along the way and was very quick at giving the bike back once the part had arrived. Friendly & professional service I cannot recommend Joe and his local bike shop enough.

Visited Joe's yesterday for the first time to drop off some wheels for truing. Picked up the wheels today, all sorted out and accompanied by an explanation of what work had been undertaken. An excellent service at a competitive price too. Staff have a level of knowledge which inspires confidence and are obviously enthusiastic about bikes/cycling. I would definitely recommend this bike shop to my friends.
