   Used these guys for 12 years. Tens of thousands of pounds spent with them across at least 5 properties. Tried to pay for a kitchen over the phone this year, the card payment didn't go through, they advised that it must be an issue at their end, so we chased bank details and were continuously told that they'd be emailed across. Then one day received a Court application for owing them £4000 or something like that. No other effort to contact me and despite chasing bank details repeatedly. Called up to pay, they said they'd sort bank details, but it'd be quicker if I called the head office. I called the head office who didn't mention that they were charging an additional £385 but did so anyway. It was brought to my attention a week or so later. Emailed their complaints team twice, they didn't even have the decency to respond, despite chasing a response over a period of 2 months. Long story short, they're great at taking money, but when there's an issue, not great at addressing those issues. I have heard this from several other people, didn't take the warning, learnt the hard way that even if you've spent £80k+ with them, Howdens just don't value their customers and can't even return phone calls.

   Lucy was helpful in discussing options regarding designing a kitchen, tho still waiting for the design a few days on. Undergoing a refurb, so will be better when have more display areas.

   Called in today to book for someone to come out and measure and the young lad behind the counter was really helpful, gave us contact numbers of kitchen fitters and brochures to look at , was asking us questions and giving us bits of advice , excellent customer service

   Don’t let the size fool you because Howdens is the only place to go in Southport for remodeling your kitchen. Their selection of products is edited and focused and allows you to relax — without being inundated and overwhelmed. But what really makes Howdens stand out is the staff — and chief among them is Dave. We’ve worked with him now a number of times and have been thoroughly impressed by how he goes out of his way to make sure you’re taken care of — every possible aspect covered and every question met. Nothing is too much trouble for him and his knowledge is totally impressive. Really, first rate. A+++
