This place is great. I visited for the first time recently. I spent about two and a half hours I would have spent more time but I was only in London for the day and wanted to see as much as I could. Still this gives me a reason to return. As a plane enthusiast and history buff I was akin to a small child. Every step I took I kept saying to myself ooh they've got one of those, ooh they've got one of those as well. There are six hangars spanning the entire history of the RAF. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The exhibits were all well presented and plentiful. There is a large amount of stuff to see and it was a spacious and clean museum. Great gift shop too. The only downside of the day was the weather so a covered walkway would not have been amiss as I got soaked walking between exhibit halls. A great day out and I would love a follow up visit as soon as I can afford the train fare.

Ask for Danny Boxer! My wife, my son, and I had a remarkable visit to the RAF Museum in London this summer. The museum is exceptionally well organized, with a smooth flow through each hangar and a tremendous collection of planes that spans early aviation to modern aircraft. Being able to get up close to the WWII planes (including a spitfire, Lancaster, Stuka divebomer, ME102, etc.) and even step inside some of them was a life-long dream! We were especially fortunate to meet Danny Boxer, a volunteer whose knowledge and enthusiasm made our visit truly memorable. Mr. Boxer’s clear explanations, historical insight, and engaging stories brought each aircraft and each era to life. If you’re able, ask for Danny Boxer-he elevates the museum experience in every way. The museum offers well-maintained facilities, a good café, a playground for children, and a large gift shop. There are no entry fees, and supporting the museum through donations feel like money well spent. Overall, this is a superb museum for families, aviation fans, and anyone interested in history. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic. All these airplanes look so good taken care of. You might get the impression that you would be able to just climb into the pilot seat and fly off. It is extremely wonderful to see that these machines have been so well taken care off. Free entry, no ticket needed, everything you ever wished for. And if you are happy in the same way that I was, leave some money there.

Had a great time at the museum. If you like military airplanes and history it’s a must visit. We got a tour about the place with a gentleman called Stephen. He was very knowledgeable and passionate and we got to see a lot of things we would have missed if we went just by ourselves. There was no cues for tickets or in the guest shop and we bought our tickets at the gate. I would suggest you need the whole day to look around if your very interested in the finer details of the displays.

Lovely museum and wonderful to see so many historical aircraft on display. Staff friendly throughout. Despite free entry, no queues to get into the various hangers etc. Great history behind each aircraft. Very educational for children as well. Plenty of car park spaces. Cafe and gift shop a little see on the expensive side.

Must see. Highly recommended. Great day out for the family. Huge museum. Lots to see, lots to learn. My son enjoyed 4D experience of flying with Red Arrows and the flight simulator. He could even seat in one of the aircrafts. Good range of products in the gift shop. Great playground for children.

Great day out for the family. Lots to see and do for all ages, plus great playground for children to explore. Toilet facilities were adequately maintained. Parking costs were reasonable (for London) and the venue is outside the Ulez zone. Bad points were that several displays weren't working or had no sound and that the cafe was extortionate. £6.50 for a basic cheese sandwich! The gift shop had a good range of products at a varying price range. If you bring a packed lunch then this is a great day out.

Fantastic place to visit if your into aviation. Many exhibits of full size aircraft through the ages. Very clean and well laid out with toilets and lifts. Good well stocked shop selling books, toys, flying garments, etc. Could keep you busy for a few hours. Free entry just pay for the car park. Booking essential. Would definitely return when I have more time.
