   I asked about the waterproof trousers only to be told that they are only water resistant and not waterproof. I said they state ‘waterproof’ which is different to water resistant’ to which I received the response “i know what it means but some people say they are and some people say they’re not”!! What a joke! If you’re serious about these products, don’t go here because they haven’t got a scooby doo.

   I paid a visit to my local Newark Millets store,I wanted a particular OS map,not being in stock the staff member being very helpful offered to order it for me,it was ordered & arrived next day,with the high st being under pressure service like this deserves praise,I will share my experience with friends who share my taste for the outdoors.

   Amazon Return Listed as a participating Amazon UPS return spot but when I went in to complete I was told that they don’t have the facility to handle my return and I should try elsewhere. I had a feeling that this was the attitude of the individual assistant (maybe lack of training) and not the store policy but I was not able to complete the return in store…

   Was a pleasant surprise to be served by pleasant staff in newark shops. Mostly are too busy to even offer help. Clair was helpful and although new gave good advice on discounted items. Overall a well stocked shop and was a pleasure to browse without being felt rushed

   Clean and friendly staff, lots of stock on sale so alot of the popular sizes gone, the only disappointment is that there were no skiing stuff, even tho people still go skiing in March but to retail its seasonal however having a small selection of trousers / jackets / facial cream etc would be nice Also due to everything going on in Ukraine no foil blankets available so unable to get a full first aid box for skiing
