Lovely shopping experience at this outlet. Shoutout to James who was extremely friendly and helpful in offering advice on the size of the hiking boots. He definitely went the extra mile with his kind assistance. Kudos to Roger too for his wonderful service!

Nice store layout and items, prices were a bit silly though, especially since it was a 'closing down sale'

two words. Absolutely immaculate. Upon my most recent adventure to the heart of Derbyshire, Bakewell I stumbled across this diamond in rough ‘millets’. Me and my husband often like to go on long hikes around the Peak District and I was in desperate need for some new boots. Not only was I granted with the perfect pair of shoes that fit me to perfection and worked immaculately during my most recent hike to burbage brook, but customer service was also impeccable. The lady who helped me pick the boots was lovely and I’d like her name please so I could include it in the review as I saw no name tag. She was fairly short with curly brown hair and glasses. I completely understand if she wants to be anonymous but I couldn’t help but love her utter positivity and helpfulness- which is so very rare these days. Definitely will be returning

Came with a tent that was damaged from go outdoors, they was kind enough to exchange it as they are from the same company. Can not remember the managers name I think it was mark but can not thank him enough as he had saved our camping trip and was really friendly, attentive and down to earth which is exactly what is needed as a staff member!!! Please pass our thanks on to the worker in Millets Bakewell he we amazing!!!

I wanted a jumper but the shop didn't have my size. The member of staff suggested I ordered it and have it delivered to my home. Excellent service, thank you.

Me, My Partner and her friend entered the store we walked to the back of the shop looking at bags for hiking, We noticed straight away and member of staff followed us to the back of the shop they asked us if we needed any help and we said 'No, Thank you' continued looking at the bags they continued to stare and linger, (Like I know I'm like Chris Hemsworth and Prime Brad Pitt rolled into one but come on) After 4-5 minutes of continuous 'super undercover' (Sarcasm) monitoring by the staff member they again asked if we wanted any help which again we answered 'No, Thank you' only then for the member of staff to stand 4 yards away from us scaring straight at us for around a minute. Before leaving the shop empty handed, Good job that pesky member of staff was there as casual security or we may have shoplifted the whole shop. Long story, Short. Go to mountain Warehouse which we did and weren't harassed or stalked by a member of staff, I mentioned the issue to the lad at Mountain Warehouse and he instantly knew the woman who was staring at us. Notice to management may I suggest a little more customer focused training with your staff and less of the overly aggressive predatory stalking as it may make people question why they are in the store in the first place.. The individual member of staff was a female in her 30-40s wearing sunglasses (Proper undercover detective) with low sense of awareness as I think she thought she was being subtle, Which really wasn't the case. Be careful out there.. You never know who's watching.

Went in to get some walking boots. A very friendly guy came and helped us out. He was very knowledgeable and was a great help! He talked us through the best boots to get and I have no regrets with the purchase. Would definitely recommend!

Good range of equipment and clothing for walking, Camping or casual clothing to wear to work or whilst out and about. Covid rules applied and hand sanitiser by front door. Will need mask ( no brainer ) sale rails in middle of shop to pick up some bargains. Good range of clothing manufacturers and millets ( Go Outdoors ) own branded stuff. Prices reasonable. Shop is litre cramped and awkward to social distance. No parking outside but car park within walking distance ( 5 mins )

Good shop, not big so range isn't huge but it has most of what you'd need. Prices are a bit higher than web, but the service is good so worth that bit extra. Good position too, right in the Peak District, so good for a pre walk resupply.
