This school is one of the worst schools I have been to. You tell the teacher something and they say they will sort it and do nothing. And the amount of homework you get from one subject is ridiculous.

Hi. Id like to stay anonymous, But I'm here to tell you ALL about my experience at this academy. Firstly, Why should your kids go to this academy (If you are a parent looking at this.) β’ Good Work Ethic from all teachers β’ (Mostly) care about student mental health β’ Not that strict in some situations. Now for the negatives: β’ Made based on an INDUSTRIAL work-style (Just search it on Wikipedia if u dont know what is idk) β’ One of my friends (Who also is going to stay anonymous for their safety) was SA'D at this school by another student, And the school did nothing. β’ The school USED to let you park near the entrance, for easy pick up of your children. Now they shut that, so you have to walk to Stubbin Woods' drop off point. β’ You quite literally get told off for not having a TIE (As a student). A TIE! β’ If you dont have a pen, pencil, or a ruler (Since you need all three.) You also get told off when quite literally every teacher has some spare. I would talk more but its like midnight and im tired so bye ig

This school can be good, I know it has been. It's a bit funny to see the major decline in ratings on reviews. Over the last year there's plenty of poor reviews and I just have to say it really is poor at the moment because of the majority of the students that go to it. The behaviour can be terrible. Also, sub lessons are terrible with little possibility for people to actually learn something. Some departments.. wow. The amount of good teachers leaving puts the staff in a mess. They bring in new subs and new teachers and it's just not really working out at all. I'm a student currently and my maths class has majorly gone downhill. We started with a brilliant teacher up until easter (old head of maths) that knew the lessons properly and could help everyone learn, they left because of the work demand, we got a new one for a couple of months which made it more difficult to learn, now they've left and we have a long term sub to cover the rest of the year. Ridiculous. We're meant to be learning for our GCSE's. Does this school want to be great or not? I'm not sure, they need to majorly turn on behavior wise because they seem quite stupid with not recognising what some people are actually like, provide more private support for students that need it and get good teachers in that students can speak good words about because they actually learn from them. Also, get the opinions from more students before they make rule changes.

Gets a one star from me this school is taking the p### my daughter wouldn't sign her journal and was told she would get excluded from school if she didn't this all because she didn't agree with something that was in it so this morning she has gone into school and they told her again she either signs it or it's excluded from the school now in my eyes that's bullying its a joke

Rating this a one star mostly cuz the school is really dirty, and teachers overreact when a student tells them their own personal problema cuz they need to talk to someone who they can trust but they end up telling other teachers and also phone calls to parents even If they dont feel comfortable with it. ANOTHER reason would literally be that even If your kid is so sick they would phone ya and Tell You to bring them to school the next day even If You went to a out of town hospital they would barely trust ya and Say that You only Have a small flu when You cΓ’nd barely walk or feel like throwing up. Honestly dont bother at all.
