I joined the group quite recently to help me recover from the effects of cancer treatment and I have been made so welcome. The sessions are challenging but I am already feeling the benefits both physically and mentally, it really is a great workout for both the body and the brain! Alan knows his stuff and is very patient, and the rest of the group are supportive too. I’m so pleased I decided to give it a try.

I have been attending for 2 years now and have found that my balance is much improved from what it was. By following Alan's instructions for breathing it's improved my COPD, from what it was the last time that I had a COPD assessment.

Really friendly group expertly led by Alan Weaver. All levels of members from absolute beginners (like me) upwards. Suitable for all ages, male and female.

I have been attending the sessions regularly for a year now and try to attend twice a week. As a runner I find the classes help with stretching and balance, and the gentle exercises would be helpful to anyone with limitations in mobility. Everyone is very friendly and we have so much fun, the camaraderie makes me look forward to going. Alan is an experienced leader and always wants you to improve. Highly recommended for physical and mental wellbeing!

I joined Killamarsh Tai Chi group 2 years ago for health reasons. I have been able to improve my breathing and balance as a result and would recommend this discipline to anyone with the same problems. It beats working out in a gym and is a lot cheaper. The group is very friendly and welcoming and we have an enjoyable time during our 2 hours on Wednesday afternoon. There is a lot to learn, but this is the beauty of Tai Chi, There is a great deal of satisfaction when the moves are mastered. The exercises are not strenuous but are specially designed to help those with health issues (including back, heart and lung problems). Why not come and try it. The first session is free.

I joined and was welcomed warmly into the club a couple of years ago but for a variety of personal reasons I have been unable to attend for some time. Alan has kept in touch and I know that should the situation change I will be welcomed back and be able to attend as and when I can. In my limited experience the club is well run, very friendly and achieves it's object for all members; it is an excellent facility.

I have been a member of Killamarsh tai chi for a few years now and have found the people very friendly and welcoming. The benefits of tai chi are felt both mentally and physically. It is beneficial for people of all ages and is fun to do.
