   Stayed 23rd-27th December , always stay here at least once a year and never fails to disappoint. Kids love the hot tub , Christmas tree in cabin upon arrival and staff go out your way to ensure you enjoy your stay. Retreat open for 3 hours on Christmas Day. The only negative I have to say is the entertainment package upgrade there is no sky racing anymore so Boxing Day racing was a big miss Thank you

   Lovely relaxing holiday. Staff very friendly. The kitchen could have been cleaner, the dishwasher was out of salt so not really worth using, and the travel cot didn't come with a mattress, so not worth hiring. But overall a positive experience and I would return

   The cabins are amazing, the underfloor heating throughout is great to warm your feet after a brisk outdoor hike around Delamere forest. The hot tubs are amazing and we'll kept with daily inspections and maintenance. All the staff were brilliant, they catered for every need, any issue we raised, someone was usually with us within 20 mins to the cabin to provide or help out ( we forgot matches to light the log burner). We had an issue with the door key relay (it knocked out 4 of the lights in the cabin) and one of the maintenance gents was quick to resolve it, we didn't get his name but would have liked to sincerely thank him. The whole holiday was made with how dog friendly the cabin and the staff were, as it was our first time away with her but thanks to the team (and treats) she had a great time!

   Its abit of a long drive to get to the destination once youre off the road - around 5/10mins, which have pot holes and roads have alot of pot holes all around the site also. Lodge itself was warm and cosy and some lovely views from the cabin. Loving the underfloor heating and of course the hot tub!! You always feel warm! Staff didn't feel as friendly as previously Forest Holiday destinations. Alot of the walks around the area start offsite.

   Delamere Forest was honestly one of the best holidays we’ve been on. Our cabin was amazing — so spacious, beautifully kept, and the underfloor heating was such a cosy bonus. The hot tub was spotless and regularly maintained, and the lads who came out to check it each day were absolutely lovely. The dogs had the time of their lives! They spent their days running through the forest and slept soundly every night from all the excitement. It was the perfect getaway for both us and our furry friends. We’ll definitely be returning!

   Can’t fault the 5 days we spent here. The lodge was spotless on arrival. We did have an issue with a toilet but maintenance were quick to act upon the problem we had. The hot tub was great and the chemical levels were maintained daily. Bike hire was reasonably priced next the the retreat and there are lots on cycle routes within the Forrest. Only one downside was the potholes on the roads within the Forest Holiday complex. These need sorting, not everyone has a 4x4, the amount it cost the stay for the week they can surely sort the roads outs. Other than that we had a lovely holiday.

   We've just arrived back home after spending new year at Delamere. Firstly a big thank you to the staff who were all super friendly and helpful. The cabin itself was beautiful and perfect for our little getaway (28 years old) with our dog. One of the things that topped off during our stay was the firework notifications. We came away hoping to get away from the city fireworks as our dog is terrified. One firework went off on the 30th - we then panicked about NYE - but within 15 minutes a public notice appeared on the tv screen with a public notice about fireworks not being permitted in any way. This was shown again the following morning and afternoon of NYE. It totally put our minds at rest. We took full advantage of the log fire, and logs were delivered within 30 minutes. The hob tub was the perfect temperature. Overall we had an incredible visit and I can't wait to come back again. My partner is currently on crutches so we were unable to take advantage of all the lovely walks - but visited Cheshire oaks and some local pubs. Thank you so much - one of our best new year's to date!

   Stunning! We stayed in the Golden Oak hideaway and it was beautiful. So nicely decorated and equipped. The massive bathroom including a large roll top bath was really appreciated for relaxing after a busy day. The outside area was fantastic with a large hot tub, egg chair and seating area. The views overlooking the forest are beautiful. My husband booked for us to have massages in the cabin and I can’t recommend these enough! The retreat cafe/restaurant is brilliant, and we ordered a takeaway pizza night. They do fantastic gluten free options including pizza and garlic bread. They do charge for delivery to your cabin so bare this in mind! A couple of improvements we thought would be the road in and out of the holiday park. It was full of pot holes and very bumpy! The premier entertainment package is £10.00 extra per day and whilst you do get access to movies, they are a little limited but you can link your Netflix and other apps. Just to note they don’t supply you with logs, firelighters, matches etc or any essentials (tea, coffee, bin bags, cooking oil, condiments etc) so make sure you take your own as the little shop on site is a little pricey. Overall, we had an amazing stay and will definitely return!

   Friendly staff in a gorgeous quiet setting. Lodges are warm and well equipped. Kitchen is small but perfect for a week and onsite cafe/bar/shop has a good selection of options. Also has electric car charging free of charge.
