Specifically asked for the quietest room away from banging doors etc. Room 36. Had occasional banging doors up to about 11pm ish from opening closing staff private room opposite. Not too bad. But I was hoping I would be able to sleep in and I was woken up about 6.30/6.45 by the truck that parked under my window to pick up/drop off cages of presumably laundry or something which left at 7.32. So didnt exactly get a good night's sleep. With check out being 12 o'clock I thought I would be able to have a quiet lie in on Boxing day morning. Think it may have disturbed people in room next door as they were moving around by then. Disappointed I was woken so early. Hopefully it will be quiet for next hour or so before I get ready for breakfast next door.

Lovely well dressed staff. My room was very clean. It's next to a Toby Carvery which is a bonus. The sad thing about all Travelodges is there's just 30mins free WiFi, that needs sorting.

Hotel room wasn’t clean at all. Dust all on the bed and sides and loads of sticky residue on the window sill. Bed was so uncomfortable and room was way too hot. We was on the second floor facing the bins and it was very noisy every couple hours you could hear glass bottles being emptied into the bins and just wasn’t pleasant. Walls are paper thin you could hear everything from people next door. The bedside tables was broken put a bottle of water on it and completely collapsed. The lady on reception was nice in the evenings but when we went to complain in the morning reception was closed and no one about. We payed for the wifi which barely worked so was a waste of money. The Toby carvery next door was beautiful though. Decent location about 10 min drive to the zoo, town centre and Cheshire oaks shopping so that was a bonus.

As Travelodge goes, this is a good one. Friendly staff, good location if using to stop off whilst travelling. Parking is free, and there is a Toby next door for food and a buffet breakfast!! We were warmly greeted, and everything was explained. The room was OK and comfortable, although the pillows were a little hard, not as nice as Premier Inn. Would be stay again? YES!

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel, which was conveniently placed and offered plenty of parking. There is only one eating possibility within easy walking distance and that is the Toby carvery next door. We at there both nights and enjoyed the reasonably priced experience. The hotel room was clean and warm but I did have to go to reception to ask for a TV remote control and request my soap dispenser be filled up. Overall I was happy with our experience.

The staff were wonderful My problem was there were only two plug sockets in the room Both right behind the TV So when boiling the kettle I had choice point the steam at the sockets, the back of the TV or at me as I went to pour my coffee I know travel lodge is basic but if I had been there for work and needed laptop phone headphones etc it would be impossible But the staff were lovely friendly helpful brilliant It was clean and comfortable

Filthy dirty, especially the bathrooms. Dark brown stained toilets and enormous Rats running freely outside. I didn’t see one indoors but I‘m sure if I was brave enough to search I would have. Tv in the room didn’t work and the shower only had cold water. Very tired, in desperate need of an referb even the staff who were amazing said it needed knocking down. Would not recommend and although not part of the hotel the Toby Carvery next door was in a bad state of decretive repair. Staff at the hotel were great and all working very hard.

The location was perfect for me as I was travelling to The Cheshire Oaks outlet for work the following day. The staff member on duty was very warm and welcoming and the price was ridiculously cheap. With that in mind, the room wasn't great, but I cannot complain at that price about the quality. The one downside about the room was that my room was literally next door to the reception desk, which just felt odd. The adjoined Toby Carvery wasn't great, No complaints about the serving staff, who were very pleasant. The food though was not great. I ordered a roll, which was fine, but I also ordered Yorkshire Pudding and pigs in blankets. They had obviously been left under the hot plate for far too long and were dried out and burnt. I only ate them as I had been waiting for around 40 minutes for the food and was starving. Really poor standards and they should never have gone out.

Stayed here for 2 nights for chester zoo and cheshire oaks only 6mins drive away so that was a bonus. Reception staff was absolutely lovely and polite (the best part). When we checked in and went up to out room we could smell weed in the corridor what was very unpleasant we then got into our room and it was ok, walls needed painting and stains on carpet. Bedding was fine. Went into the bathroom and 3 spiders in the bath tub and cobwebs i had to clear away. There was no shower gel in the soap dispenser it was all gone so had to use hand wash before buying our own shower gel. Room was boiling but was supplied with a fan. Overall it was ok for 2 nights but wouldn’t recommend or stay here again.
