Rooms - Sprayed with something chemically/strong smelling to the point you cannot breathe and are coughing constantly. Mould around the bath/shower. Very bare and outdated. Reception staff - Nice enough at first but were not interested in any issues with the room "Don't know what to say". Also unaware of any procedures to right their wrongs. Car park - Full of rubbish and pot holes. Hotel grounds - Stank of weed. Breakfast To Go - No suitable option for dairy allergy. This hotel is not suitable for families and I'm appalled at the lack of response from Travelodge about the issues we have faced. Would not recommend this hotel, or any of their others now.

Only real problem is turning into the carpark because of the potholes. You turn in from a busy fast road and in the dark/ rain you can't see the deep holes so damage could easily happen to your car. On a Sunday evening Starbucks closes early which is in the carpark. The rooms do have basic tea coffee making in them but there is no food available.

Worst travelodge ive stayed in. The staff were friendly but the room was awful. It smelt, the cleanliness wasn't the best and its very outdated

It was expectation vs reality. The room lights were not good. Heater was not working. There was a big spider in the ceiling. Room were damp and very smelly. The towel they gave us were dirty.Thank god i packed my own. There was no proper or a safe parking place. The ventilators were not good. And the room we got was may be a backside so there was a way for insect to come in through the window which we got.

My 3ht week in this hotel. Never had any problem because never asked anything. Yesterday I was sick leaved work early went to bed woke up about 6pm my bed was soaking wet. I was sweating too much. Went to reception Helen was there she gave me new set bedding and she said she will ask to housekeeper to change my bedding in the morning again. She was so kind and helpful.when I woke up 6am in the morning my bed soaking wet again. I stripped bedding leaved on the floor Went to work. When I come back bedding was on the chair top of my t shirt. They dint change it. Been reception Helen was there she said I’m really sorry but manager(Denise) she wasn’t happy because I gave you bedding. Only allowed to change bedding if you stay 7 days. Not I have to sleep in wet bed because Denis got rules. Never again

At the end of the day it is a Travelodge. It's not my first choice but was the closest to where I wanted to go. The bathroom was a bit dirty. The kettle was dirty inside. The doors were damaged and the beds were not very comfortable. For what you pay for it is worth it though

Check in was quick and easy. Great location- so easy to jump back on the motorway. Beds and pillows were very comfy. Carpets were very worn but generally very clean and fresh soft towels in room on arrival.

Only negative I have was having no choice on the site.but to book a family rm as i was staying for 16 nights ( for only myself) which added silly price with no frills. I would of hoped due to this I would of been only charged for a double rm...I mean..... £159 each sat night for 1 person. That is hard to swallow right! That said, I cannot fault the engaging and hardworking staff that I'm sure work or are expected to work beyond what they are paid. I found them to be polite, helpful and if nothing but , with much giving as they could as within their means. Location wise, although slightly out of the way of major towns or cities, there are bus stops just outside. To Chester 1hr and to Liverpool 45 mins. Ideal if you want to leave the car behind or do not drive. Local bars such as The Montgomery ( serves a lovely food menu ) ,The Hooton or The tap ( No menu or basic cafe chips available ) can be found within Eastham village and country park. Also a short bus ride away towards Birkenhead/Liverpool is Bromborough to find The merebrook, The bromborough pub or The Royal Oak...all serving great food.

Overnight stop while traveling. Bit difficult to access from a very busy road. Better signs needed. Staff very helpful and will give you a list of restaurants that aren't to far away.
