   Very friendly and accommodating hotel. Staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Room is very comfortable, cosy and clean. Ideal location for walking distance to Chester city centre (20 mins walk). Thoroughly recommend.

   Very nice hotel to stay at. Welcoming staff, very attentive. Rooms on the whole are spotless, we had an issue with the shower which needed cleaning but apart from that which didnt affect our stay at all, a very nice place. I would definitely go back, and next time bring the children, as it is very conveniently placed for all amenities. EDIT: this review was written BEFORE checking out of the room. On checkout reception had 10 of what were described as "people dropped off at 5am in a coach from Sweden" lying about asleep sprawling over the chairs in reception. I spoke to the staff member on the desk to let her know a review had been left, however THAT was not a good look to prospective customers as it definitely lowered the tone the hotel were trying to set. (None looked Swedish, more Eastern European looking with mid tone skin and black hair). To that end, I will NOT now be returning to the hotel, but it is only fair to leave the positive review I have already typed. I cast no aspersions, I simply think letting a large group of people slump all over the reception area comes across as low class and borderline intimidating to others. This was very unfortunate to have happened on checkout, but it does show how a person's stay and overall view of a hotel can be changed by one thing happening. Please dont be put off by this which is probably a "one off", as the hotel itself (and staff) are very very good and professional.

   We stayed here for the Chester marathon and had a lovely time. The staff were super friendly and the room was lovely. Breakfast was nice with plenty of options and it had free parking for hotel guests. The hotel was about 20/30 mins walk into the city centre. Thanks :)

   It's bigger than many small hotels. They do breakfasts and Evening meals. Breakfast was OK, but I have had better . It does have a good sized private car park. Took us about 20 minutes to walk in to the city. We may well stay again. Certainly better than many we have stayed in

   Stayed with my husband for the night. We booked table for dinner and food was absolutely amazing. We had mushrooms en crute, prawn cocktail ( which was the proper prawn cocktail ), Sunday roasts and some desserts. Compliments to the chefs for making everything fresh and delicious. We will definitely come back again.

   Lovely little hotel. Good rooms, great breakfast. But the highlite was the great staff, getting on a bit, my husband kept losing things, the charming, polite and helpful receptionist/ barman. Jack was so helpful. patient, and kind he deserves a medal for looking after us x

   This is a great hotel. Great value for money. Free parking. Lovely large, clean rooms. Breakfast, full table service. Just a 15 minute walk into Chester. Also have a restaurant. Will definitely visit again.
