We had the most wonderful stay at The Grousemoor recently for a hen party. Itβs a beautiful venue in a stunning location. Communication beforehand with our host Amelia was excellent - she went above and beyond to answer any queries so we could ensure the perfect weekend for the bride to be! The house is so gorgeous (the pictures donβt do it justice) with spacious and comfortable bedrooms, bathrooms, a beautiful bar and dining area and a huge, super well equipped kitchen. Would definitely recommend for events or a peaceful, relaxing getaway with friends and family!

We stayed here for a joint 40th celebration and we weren't disappointed! Communication was easy and fast, from the moment we booked. We were greeted on arrival and shown around the property which was a really nice touch. The place itself is immaculately presented, bedrooms had a real luxury hotel feel to them, each with their own en suites, most of which were nearly as big as the bedrooms! The outside space was great too, a large patio with a huge table, a lounge area with a hot tub, which was all under cover, which was ideal because it meant we could still enjoy being outside together even when the weather wasn't great. Loads of fridges and freezers, perfect for our large group who brought lots of food and drink with us. The only niggle we found was that the Aga was quite difficult to use, as none of us had any experience using one, and it was the only working oven, so for a large group it did mean our meals took longer to cook. However, his was easily overcome by starting to cook earlier, in batches, and keeping things warm while other things were being cooked. The log fire was a real warm, homely touch, we really enjoyed cosying down in front of it of an evening, the lounge big enough to accommodate everyone. It really is an impressive property, immaculately clean and well presented, and big enough for large groups with large communal spaces with ample seating for everyone. We'd definitely return!

I attended a wedding function here and what a stunning place to have your special day.. Absolutely beautiful location and beautiful scenery for your photo backdrop.. The staff are superb... so pleasant warm and welcoming.. The Grousemore is a beautiful hotel/pub Such beautifully decorated rooms with character and atmosphere.. You could not have a more beautiful place... The food served throughout the day was so nicely presented and tasted as good as it looked.. Would highly recommend and would love to return again..

Great venue indoors or out, really homely feel and plenty of space for cooling your drinks! Myself and the dozen or so other people had a blast! Will definitely be booking again. We've stayed at a fair few lodges within a 90 minute drive of Manchester. This topped the lot! Excellent venue.

I decided to stay here with my young daughter on the way to Anglesey. I made the booking with Pam late evening and arrived shortly after. The bar was busy on our arrival but Pam immediately came out and sorted us out really quickly and efficiently. She had even upgraded our room so my daughter could have more space. The room was amazing and really comfortable. We were last up in the morning but Pam cooked us a lovely breakfast and took the time to have a chat with us both. A fab place which I can thoroughly recommend. A real gem of a place.

Went as part of a large group to celebrate parent in laws wedding anniversary- turned up very late- owners very attentive, I felt well looked after. Food and drink superb, rooms well appointed with roomy bed and large modern bathroom. Breakfast amazing. All in all excellent experience and plan to walk over from Llangollen for a Sunday lunch next time!

Beautiful guesthouse in the heart of north Wales run by a very nice couple. Arrived a little late for food but they still made me an amazing roast beef sandwich. Very nicely decorated, clear that they've put the effort into fitting it out. Really comfortable bed and spacious rooms and very good breakfast also! Maybe a small bit pricey (paid Β£95 for a Sunday night in April) but location was good for me and also I'd comment that I didn't do much research on local prices so stand to be corrected on this point.
